I have been to Mamma E's at least 20 times, food has always been excellent, I go at lunch time, there is plenty to choose from, its right out of the oven. They serve Cool Aid as a drink option! The fried chicken is wonderful. If you order waffles and wings its not part of the buffett but worth the short wait. Its an old building that they have remodeled, they keep it very clean, food is excellent! I love the chicken and dressing and mac and cheese!
I was in Oklahoma City in mid-August and remembered to visit Mama E's after viewing an episode of Diners, Drive Ins, and Dives. I have to say that it was an hour before closing but that shouldn't have mattered. I brought four other people with me to enjoy some good food but it turned out to be a horrible experience. The chicken was not cooked to order (as advertised), it was cold..along with the waffles. There were flies everywhere in the resturant and it had a very unpleasant odor that reminded me of spoiled food. You can't judge a book by the cover but in this instance the book was worst than the cover. I would not recommend ANYONE to eat there in good faith.
