People say that the Steaks are the best ever I haven t tried them because I tried the Ribs the first time I went and that is what I always order because they are the best I have ever had. I am not sure that the blackened gator is on the menu (I only see fried) but they have it and it is absolutely wonderful. This is one of the best places I have ever eaten. Outside deck is right on the river (really nice but as with anything outside bugs are there and sometimes they bite) but if the bugs don t bother you you want to eat outside. The staff is marvelous and everything that I have eaten at this place has been really really good. I have been told that all the food is home made and the meat is cut at the restaurant. I can t confirm that but I can confirm that the food is GREAT!!! I drive from Shreveport to eat here and my only complaint is the drive, but it is well worth it. Be prepared to ask for a go box or be really full. The portions are large. As for the price it is about like the chains that serve ribs, steaks etc. Price is pretty cheap for the quality food you will get here. 5 star GREATNESS. I hope it stays this way!!!
great establishment! The owners are the nicest people you ll ever meet! The service is always excellent and the waitresses are all so pretty!!! Anytime there is ever a problem they are always more than willing to accommodate their guests! & what other place do you know that in the middle of a dinner rush, will make something for someone that isn t even an item on the menu?! I ve seen it happen here a million times and they never complain! They always make you feel right at home! Anytime your in the natchitoches area, you should stop by!
Visited this beautiful city for a USSSA ball tournament and had a blast with the exception of the visit to this eating establishment. I usually understand when things go wrong, but the managers/owners of this establishment have NO people skills. What happened to southern hospitality and common courtesey? Will never visit this estabilshment again!
We were staying about a block up the road from the place and dismissed it at first thinking it might be a biker hangout or something, but finally decided to try it. We had lasagna and sliced barbecue plate--both delicious. Service was very friendly and prompt. Then the piece de resistance! The pumpkin crunch on the specials menu was to die for. I'd kill for the recipe. We'd go back in the minute.
I would not tell anyone to go to this place, for the reason that they charge the tips based on the amount of people which is wrong, since they charged us 12.00 for tip on a lunch that consisted of 4 adults and two children that are the ages of 2 and 1 and we only ordered meals for the adults and one of the children, and I mean the 1 yr old is only a baby, I think they should refund me the tip since you should tip base on the service.
Food is merely ok....Service is Horrible,,,,didn't get my side order last two visits there (after asking twice for it)... Had to have it removed from my bill afterwards (both times). Nice view on the patio.......and if you enjoy cigarette smoke filled air with your meal, then this is your place !! I wouldn't go back even for free food. Do yourself a favor and find somewhere better to eat.
Best barbecue in the area. Great food in general. It has a really nice atmosphere, and an awesome view of the river. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. My only complaint is that because everything is made fresh, it takes a little longer for them to get your food out to you than say, a Chili's. It's totally worth it though, just don't go if you're starving to death and can't wait to eat. Remember- It's worth the wait.
