Amorcito's Mexican Cocina Y, San Antonio

Terrible. We couldn't find a single thing to be happy about, save the air conditioning was working. Bland food smothered in as much cheese as the plate would hold and uninspired service. We will not be going back.

My wife and I have been to Amorcito's 5 or 6 times. The food and service has always been great. They have been voted #1 new restaurant and it shows why. Even with a 20 mile drive (each way) it has become our favorite Mexican restaurant. However, on our last visit, the food was cold (Mexican food needs to be served hot to be good) and the service was very slow. This was at 6 pm on a Friday night. The restaurant was half empty and the parking lot wasn't half full. Also, a food server parked his red car near the side entrance instead of in the back of the parking lot where another server who also was just arriving parked. No big deal! It must be acceptable to have your elderly parents walk more than they need to! Now, you may ask why we did not approach management over these faults. On our 2nd visit we witnessed the owner (we were told he was) chewing out a wait person in front of the customers. I should have been writing this letter then, but I didn't...shame on me. Amorcito's is no longer the best new restaurant, maybe they should be a 0. Thank you for reading this.............

This is my new Favorite mex restaurant!!! I was very impressed, the food was delicious! The house merlot is fabulous too! I had the spinach chicken quesadillas. if you are looking for great food and great atmosphere w/o going to the riverwalk GO HERE!

Excellent Mexican food restaurant. Eat there several times a month. There are many very good Mexican food restaurants in San Antonio, and I've probably tried most of them. Would definitely rate Amorcito's in top 3. Service has always been excellent, unless seated in the bar.

Contrary to the 2 negative reviews, I had an excellent experience when i visited SA this summer. We ate there for lunch and i didnt expect to have such great mexican food on this rich side of town, but i was very pleasantly suprised! Outstanding service for my picky tastes, great food, brought me a new drink without having to ask and before i even needed one, reasonably priced for the large plates and amount of food...you will not leave here hungry or disappointed! I will bring my family here when they come visit SA from down south!

Amorcito's Mexican Cocina - The best mexican restaurant in San Antonio. We have been there 4 times now and can not believe we waited so long to try them. Their menu is unbelievable with great mexican dishes, fresh seafood, and quality steaks. Not to mention their fajitas are the best in town. I have had a chance to meet the owners and they are very nice people as well and really make you feel at home. Every time I go I try something new and I am never disappointed. If you are truly wanting fresh, delicious mexican food then you need to try Amorcito's. P.S The comments left by the other two idiots are so over the top you can tell they are lies. They must be ex employees or somebody who is angry with the restaurant. I can tell you what they said could not be farther from the truth. Amorcito's is delicious!

Food and service had me leaving this establishment angry....who has the time and money these days to waste with so many alternatives available in San Antonio.

LAST WEEK I MET WITH A GROUP OF GREAT FRIENDS FOR A DINNER AT THE AMORCITO'S MEXICAN COCINA. THE GATHERING WAS EXCELLENT, BUT ALL OF US WERE STUCK WITH TERRIBLE FOOD TO EAT BUT BECAUSE WE WANTED TO REMAIN POLITE, WE PLACED NO COMPLAINTS TO THE MANAGMENT. LUCKILY, I CAN STILL WRITE MY REVIEW ONLINE AND BE OF SERVICE TO THOSE WHO CONSIDER EATING AT AMORCITO: 1. THE MEAT ON OUR 'PLATES' WAS DRY AND OLD AS A ROAD KILL. 2. THE SERVICE WAS AS SLOW AS A TURTLE. THE AMORCITO'S MANAGER CAN REPLY TO MY REVIEW BY FABRICATING HIS OWN VERSION AS MUCH AS HIS FICTION FANTASY ALLOWS HIM TO DO IT, BUT THE MATTER OF FACT IS THAT MY FRIENDS AND I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THIS PLACE. NOOOOO THANKS!
