Miso Sushi, Ridgecrest

Miso's is one of the best places to dine in Ridgecrest. The food is always fast and fresh. It would be nice if they would stay open during regular business hours. I often want to run by and pick up a quick dragon roll only to find locked doors and a closed sign at odd hours of the day.

We went to Miso in the fall of 2010. Having heard nothing about it we gave it a shot. The area the restaurant is located in looks a little sketchy at night, so we were a little concerned. The moment we walked in we were greeted warmly, and they found us a spot (this place was pretty busy). Our waiter was new, but he did a great job. We loved our Sushi, and were very happy with the whole experience. Great food, friendly staff. We can't wait to go back. We are taking friends with us this time.

OK, in this review you must consider that this is Sushi place in the Mojave Desert!! Think about that! I lived in Japan and Hawaii and I was expecting some crappy hole in the wall. I was pleasantly surprised. Is this a great sushi place? No, but considering the options in this town I absolutely recommend it. If you are one of those sushi snobs -- don't bother. Biggest complaint that I have is the youngsters that work there are not very attentive so I usually sit at the bar so I can get my food faster. Bottom line: Good food, good atmosphere, poor service.

Surprisingly busy for a Monday night. Decent sushi but service slow for both food and drink.

Food is mediocre, not very fresh. I rate the service below average. I know good shushi when I eat good shushi and what they serve, in my opinion, is not good shushi.

We really like Miso Sushi! The food is delicious, although I have never actually had the raw fish, my husband likes it. I usually get the california rolls, tempura, bento boxes, or teriyaki. The decor is really neat too, great for RC. The only negative is the service is a little slow, as they are often crowded, and the tables are kind of small and close together.
