Limon Latin Grill, Simi Valley

I was there last night with a friend and we felt like we were in the twilight zone. The staff was so unbelievably unprofessional not only did the bartender think he was a customer but he actually argued with the customers about the laker game(news flash dude you work for tips!) the cussing between the workers(including the manager) was too much. I have been there a few times and always hope its better than the last because of the great location and set up but between the bad food and service I don t think I will ever go there again. Too bad maybe someone with experience will buy it and revamp...

Zero stars is more like it... We went here Saturday night. The little Manager lady there (whom I'm told is actually the owner) was so incredibly rude to us, we walked out. I've never seen this kind of rudeness toward customers in all my life. Thank goodness we did walk out. Just 20 feet away was the best food I've ever tasted at LARSEN'S STEAKHOUSE. The service was incredible and the food was to die for. A special note to the manager from Limon's: we went across and spent $300 at Larsen's. Not that it was expensive there, but we went all out and ordered tons of everything...I guess Limon's doesn't need customers or money. Thank you for your rudeness! We enjoyed our time at Larsen's sooooooo much! On another note, just to let everyone know...I have no affiliation with Larsen's. I just couldn't believe how good everything was. Thanks! Kristi :)

We've been there many times and the food is always good. I recommend the Argentinian chicken or the Peruvian sea bass, but that’s just my tastes. The prices are a bit on the high side, but they make up for it in service and atmosphere, which are both excellent. In addition, the have nice outdoor seating usually with live entertainment.

I have eaten there many times. Love the food. Have never had any issues with the service. Surprised to hear that others had problems. We have never had to wait, and never had any issues with waiters. Love to go there for birthdays.

Great place for drinks and dinner! The fried calimari is great! So is the shrimp! The drinks are great and the atmosphere is FUN! The bartenders are nice and the patrons are always friendly! Great view for people watching!

Same as the other person. We went in hoping to try their food. All the servers were hanging out at the bar just like customers, we were only given one menu to use and only one set of utensils were at the table for two. We saw one guy that was there just waiting for his check and no one was helping him. Our whole section was just sitting and waiting so after about twenty minutes of just watching the servers walk by without even being offered drinks, we left. If it wasn't for the half-decent band, I don't think people will stay there. Total waste. The only positive reviews here probably come from people that work there or got paid for it. I wish that place got closed instead of the one across it. Maybe the food is not bad but with crappy service, we will never know. Too many workers and not enough work being done. They should cut down on the servers to hire a better band so more people will at least stay. So if you feel like wasting your time and waiting to be served, this is the place.

While there are a number of other reviews that don't rate this restaurant well, especially on the service side, I've always been pleased with the service. Let it be known that Limon takes reservations for even the patio...make sure to take advantage if that's your choice! To start with, the food isn't what I'd consider 5-Star, but it's good and satisfying. I go with a group and we order an assortment of appetizers to share, which is good fun. The spicy sprimp are outstanding and the mini soft tacos were very good. The service? Never anything but friendly and top notch!

A group of us have been to Limon's three times now and have had great food and service each time. Our regular server, Amber, rocks!!!! We love to go Friday nights for food, drinks and the music on the patio. It is a beautiful setting and very comfortable. Last Friday (8/8), Limon's was my place of choice to celebrate my birthday and we had a great time!!

I heard about Limon from a friend, nice patio, music, lively atmosphere, etc so I was very excited to try on a recent Friday night. We arrived to a crowded patio with a great sounding jazz band. Still excited, we asked to be seat on the patio however it was full. We took a seat in the bar area where we could still enjoy the band. Still enjoying ourselves we waited and waited and then waited some more for someone to take our drink order. After multiple people asked if we've been helped with no sense of urgency to serve us we left the restaurant after a half an hour and walked down the mall to California Pizza Kitchen where we had an excellent dining experience. I don't see myself ever going back to Limon at all. I'd rather spend my money some place else.

My last visit to this place was on 7-11-08 we had asked to be seated on the patio nothing was avalible so we sat in the bar twenty minutes passed and we finaly got the attetion of a waitress she was carrying drinks with a mouth full of food. After she swallowed she advised us that the bar tender would help us, we waved at him and he nodded and waved back He did'nt come help us either.About thirty minutes had passed now and a waitress asked if we had been helped we said no she said she woiuld be right back fifteen minutes later we left. The first and second time here were'nt much better the food tended to be dry and tasteless but we thought we would give it another shot shame on us. I Would have to say this place is one or the worst dining establishments in Simi Valley. I would give this place four flushes because it deffinetly belongs in the crapper.
