5 stars, no doubt. We've had sushi from coast-to-coast in the U.S. and, although the mid-west sushi "inventory" for both Toyko and Sushi Masa are a little more restricted (we're from Los Angeles), Tokyo far excels in quality of both food and service (I cannot express enough how good their service is!) Tokyo has a large sushi bar and creative, thoughtful, sushi chefs. They remember whether you want wasabe or love caviar. They are cheerful and always full of surprises. Tokyo Sushi has more seating but is still an intimate environment. We'd go there 2-3 times each week if we could! I am tempted, but will not, compare the huge difference between Tokyo Sushi and Sushi Masa, but will say that we are so very glad that Sushi Masa is no longer the only game in town.
Oh, there is one other exception here in the Dakotas, you are not allowed to buy a beer for the sushi chefs like we could in Southern Calif. They certainly deserve the treat! OK, a nice tip will have to do.
