This restaurant refused to follow the law. They refused to allow a teenage girl who has a service dog eat at their establishment. To add salt to the wound after telling them that they could not eat there, the managers/employees started yelling amongst themselves then they turned and started yelling at the girl and her mom. The yelling turned into pointing and laughing, which had the girl in tears.
This service dog has given so much to this girl and has boosted her self esteem. People no longer just see a girl in a wheelchair they see a girl who has a cool dog. This dog never causes any problems as they are very well trained. I have eaten at restaurants many times with them and all the service dog does is lay on the floor waiting.
I believe that if you want to run a business in the United States you should follow the law, if not close down. What this business has done to this girl is horrible. Watch the news as there will be a story soon that points out businesses such as this that refuse to follow ADA laws.
Great place - Much better than Kyoto in LC... The entire staff is very friendly and go out of their way to make you feel welcome. The food is comparable to Kyoto and their prices are much more reasonable.
Great place for lunch as well.
Open ALL DAY on Saturday and Sunday. Weekdays closed between 0230pm-0430pm for lunch break and closed at 10pm at night. Friday and Saturday closed at 11pm. Some of the information post here was not correct and is getting fix with yahoo. please call if there is any question. thanks.....
I brought a group of 10 adults and children for hibachi lunch on Saturday. We showed up an hour before our reservation but were immediately seated and served quickly and politely anyway. I tasted scallops, shrimp, steak, and chicken breast and everything was delicious! I saw 2 different steaks prepared exactly as ordered--medium rare and well done. One steak eater didn't like teriyaki but he really liked how his steak was seasoned...I suppose because it was flavorful but not icky-sweet. Our chef kept us entertained throughout the meal, young and old alike. The kids loved watching the action. I don't usually put much salt in my food though, so when I go back, I will ask if there are low salt or no MSG options.
We eat Hibachi style at Fuji every week since they opened. Meals are priced well & portions are generous. The cooks & wait staff remember our preferences every week. The staff are friendly, courteous and gracious. It is always fun & food is always excellent. Although it is less fancy than the other Japanese steakhouse in town, the food and service are better.
What a great place to eat! Love the atmostphere and clean facility. Excellent staff that are really into pleasing you. Great food and friendly people. I used to be a Miyako fan, but now I eat here at least once a week. Try it, you will love it.
Without doubt, the best Japanese Restaurant in Lake Charles. Portions are large, service is excellent, chefs are cordial, and the pricing and selection is better than the other Japanese Steakhouse in town. This is a must visit restaurant!!!!!
Great restaurant experience, really good hibachi chefs, they always are good entertainment while we are eating the fresh cooked steak and seafood. I would like to go there all the time. Besides that, we don’t have to drive very far (Beaumont or Lafayette) for it. Their sushi is getting better, new sushi chefs and faster service. And the prices are okay. I recommended it to my friends, and they love it too......but you just have to pick the right time to go in to get the best out of them.
