Went looking for authentic Mexican, I love rellenos and I'll tell you, don't miss eating at this place. The best rellenos ever and I've eaten them everywhere. Before I leave for the NW, I'll be coming back to eat here!
We saw the reviews on Yahoo and decided to try it! The food was delicious -- we both loved the chile rellenoes -- best we've ever had! The chips were also unique, different than the norm! I normally don't eat much of the rice and beans at most Mexican restaurants -- well, I cleaned my plate! Waiter was very nice -- said the food was all fresh homemade! Try it!
Went here a couple of weeks ago on the advice of clients. No regrets! I'll be back!! How refreshing to find a Mexican restaurant that isn't filled with tourists. Family owned and operated ... just the best!!
me and my family went there sat oct 2 2010, we were vacationing in palm springs looked around the internet and found this gem of a restaurant, when we found it we saw what resembled an industrial building but soon we were inside and you see the difference the owner was so welcoming and gracious so was the daughter who helps on the weekends and attends ucla, her younger teen brother was helping also and the wife, we tried the awesome chile rellenos plate , my son tried the humongus burrito with chipotle, and the others tries a rather large plate with 1 enchilada,1taco and 1 chile relleno with best rice and the best beans, everything was very fresh and not reheated, this place gets 5 stars from me.
What a great little restaurant! The food is very tasty, and the service is super-friendly. Yummy tacos and enchiladas, plus frijoles de la olla. It's very clean, and has a nice view of the desert. Also, prices are moderate.
Our family loves to eat at La Perlita. The first thing my son wants to do when he comes home from college is head there for some Carne Asada. The La Perlita shrimp is fantastic, with a smoky chipotle sauce. While it looks like any storefront from the outside, don't be deceived. This is a fine restaurant with great shrimp dishes, outstanding Mexican food and a friendly atmosphere. The prices are great, too!
