While visiting Orlando recently, Spice was recommended to us by the hotel staff. They were right, it was excellent. Service was swift. The view of the lake was lovely. I love a good wedge salad and mine was great. No skimping on the chunky bleu cheese! Had the petite filet mignon and it was cooked to perfection. It required no additional seasoning. The manager came to check on our steaks to ensure they were cooked exactly to our liking. Impressive! It was melt-in-your-mouth delicious! The bottom line, I'd go there again.
I went to lake eola with my husband and daughter about 2weeks ago we decided to try Spice and we loved it I am very picky about everything this past sunday on earth day I went again and again it was excellent from cleanness to service and I was very happy our waiter Lee P was amazing. The food was excellent. I hate burgers but I tried theirs and it was great. My Daughter had the quesadillas and she says they are the best she's ever had. I took my mother in law with us and she wants to go back she had a great time. I hightly recommend Spice, oh and don't forget to ask for the mouse chocolate cake for desert it's to die for.
Ate here recently. The atmosphere and the view were great. You have to see the view of lake eola, great place to eat. The service was great, very tentative and knowledgable about wines. The food was worth the price i had the 16oz ribeye and it absolutley melted in my mouth. The wait was a bit long, but other than that no complaints
I can't believe that anyone can give this place more than one star - It's a shame I have to give this even one star. We've tried this place back with it was Market Street Cafe and it was nice. When Spice took over, we were excited since we have heard the Winter Park one was good. Well tonight we gave it our third chance, and for the third time they had very poor service. Tonight my wife and I ordered a couple of Mojitos. They were warm and tasted like Country Time lemonade, but not as tart. They were really unsatisfactory. We ordered them at the bar, and they didn't make them in front of us. Perhaps they were a premix? Who knows. But it wasn't happyhour so they sure should have been better. Anyway my wife mentioned it to the bar tender. He was very agressive to my wife and accused us of letting the ice in our drinks melt - at that point we had been there for 10 minutes, and had had the drinks for even less time, and needless to say, there was hardly any ice in the drinks in the first place. He implied that we were trying to con a free drink out of him. We didn't finish our drinks and just paid and left. We did talk to the manager who tried to offer us a meal/more drinks. But I for one am not going to leave myself open to a saliva cocktail. Judging by the number of poor reviews this restaurant has received, i doubt that anything will change.
It is a real shame that local downtowners like ourselves and our friends (who have also had bad experiences) are unable to enjoy such a great location because of the service.
I will definately be telling everyone we know to avoid this place like the plague.
