The worst food & Service I have ever experienced. The waitress was a real dope & the manager was the most prize jerk ever. Rude, nasty & any other word I can t send here.

We recently threw a party there for 27 people for a family event. Our family is Italian-American. Some of the attendees were actually born in Italy and live there part of the year. Others have been involved in the food business for many years. Everyone enjoyed the food. The service was excellent. The calamari appetizer had a crisp, tasty coating. The bistro salad had a tart balsamic vinagrette with spring lettuce and NO iceberg lettuce. I had the seafood fettucini which was loaded with mussels, clams, shrimp and scallops. My only complaint was that the cream-based sauce was a little rich; I would have preferred a little tartness. My friend who manages a wholesale meat distribution company and worked in a well known family owned gourmet grocery store for over thirty years thought the veal was excellent. And, he's very hard to please. Chris, one of the owners, personally served our group. and that service was excellent. This isn't the type of Italian cusine you'll find at some overpriced, trendy spot. It's old-fashioned Italian-American cusine properly prepared. Finally, Iceberg lettuce is making a big comeback. It'll cost you about $10 for a wedge of it with blue cheese at Ruth-Chris'.

Are you kidding me!!!! $15 for spaghetti w/ marinara sauce. But what is really criminal is the fact that it is not vegetarian although they tell you it is. The alfredo sauce and the marinara sauce both have chicken base in them. There should be a law against false advertising such as this.

I started going to Rubino's last year when I found a coupon in the local PennySaver. I have been a frequent customer since then. I have tried many of the dishes on the menu, as well as the surprising and innovative daily specials, and have never had a bad dish. The food is equally as good at both lunch and dinner. Every meal starts off with the great bread and wonderful dipping oil. The combination of herbs makes this usual offering something special to start with. I have never enjoyed Minestrone soup, but Rubino's makes it thicker than normal, almost a stew consistency, and I rarely have a salad starter anymore. Take your pick of main courses, but be sure to leave room for the fresh-fruit-topped creme brulee at the end. The food is excellent, but the service is what can be a deal breaker with me. At Rubino's, my drink is promptly refilled, the dirty dishes taken away and the staff and owners are highly personable. My company had our 2007 Christmas party at Rubino's, and working with the owners for that occasion was easy and the event a great success. This is the first review I have ever written for ANY business, but when a restaurant makes me a repeat customer, then I have to share that news. Try Rubino's once. I bet you'll be joining me in returning there often as well.

I'd recommend Rubino's to anyone looking for great food, great service, and pleasant atmosphere. My first taste was the bread....perfectly warm and crusty, so I was ready for more quality foods! I didn't have to wait long for my chicken marsala to arrive, and it absolutely did not disappoint! The others at my table were likewise pleased. Appetizer, entree, and dessert were delicious, and the presentation creative. It was not inexpensive, but not too pricey...merely what you'd expect of an upscale Italian, good, restaurant. Besides, the owners and waiters were wonderful!

Great place to celebrate a birthday! A group of friends went to Rubino’s to celebrate a birthday Wednesday night. None of us had ever been there before. We arrived at about 6:30 PM and were immediately seated by friendly and attentive staff. The dining room is quietly Old World Italian with ample elbow room around the round table where we were seated. The menu is extensive and varied, with a range of traditional and innovative dishes. We started with their (fresh from San Francisco every day) sourdough Italian bread and an appetizer, not on the menu but suggested by the manager. Risotto Balls, crisp on the outside and deliciously creamy on the inside, covered with a delightfully creamy tomato sauce. Do ask for it. It’s yummy! We each enjoyed our entrees. I had Eggplant Parmesan - thick slices of eggplant, crisply breaded and covered with marinara and cheese. A lovely, fresh green salad to start, and gnocchi and carrots on the side for $16.95. Excellent. We spent a leisurely two hours there, enjoying the service and the ambiance. They even surprised us with some luscious pastries for dessert! The service was impeccable and the evening was a great success. Don’t wait for a birthday to go.
