Other reviewers say it's pricey. I agree. BUT, I say it's worth it. I lived in Texas for 19 years and ate a lot of Tex-Mex. This is like nothing I've ever had. We loved it. The enchiladas were completely different than any I've ever had. The mole sauce was wonderful. I had an appetizer of roasted stuffed poblano chile. It was spectacular. My wife had a crab cake appetizer, also wonderful. Yes it is pricey, and not at all traditional. But for a completely new Mexican dining experience, it's great. Two thumbs way up for Papa Gallos.

papa gallo has great food and great service me and my family come in regularlyy and they know exactly what we want.. plantans yum!!! even if they are not on the menu they make sure they make them for use the fajitas are good especially i order them every time i good a little pricely but really worth it for a night out and they do serve chips and salsa also they serve guac if you ask its very good

I just took my girlfriend to Papa Gallos on a date. It was maybe the WORST experience I have had eating in the Syracuse area. There were practically no good points. The entire menu is over-priced. $13.95 for three tacos is just plain silly. The quality is not close to the price. The re-fried beans were disgusting. I have had far better from a can. Who has ever heard of a Mexican resturant that doesn't serve chips before the meal? They didn't have salt or pepper on the table. You know why? Because neither of them could help the food. Service was okay. We were glad to get a waitress who agreed that things were over-priced. STAY AWAY from Papa Gallos. Save your money. You can get just as good from Taco Bell.
