The National Library of Colombia (Biblioteca Nacional de Colombia) may be one of the oldest libraries in the Americas, dating back to the year 1777. Located in the southeast corner of Independence Park, the museum contains over 2 million volumes in total, and the structure is a fine example of Art Deco design. There is no charge to enter.
