I love this restaurant! Very interesting ways of creating vegan foods. Never had a bad meal or experience here. Try the ghoulardi pizza ... amazing! Decor is modern and sheik. Definitely try it out.

We traveled from Chillicothe, Ohio nearly 180 miles just to eat at this restaurant, there were four of us in our party (two vegans). I called several days prior and spoke with the manager who was exceptionally cordial and explained the various entrees on the menu over the phone. The restaurant was small and very clean, the decor was bright and amenable for conversation, and the music was nice classic rock for background. We ordered and shared several appetizers that were excellent, the pizza special was tasty and appealed to all. Our entrees were very well prepared and came within a reasonable time. The meals and ingredients were fresh and very favorable. The waiters were excellent and checked on us several times throughout our meal. We found the experience outstanding and would recommend it to anyone looking for a veggie culinary experience. Ron&Nat

Although I'm not a strict vegan, this was the perfect place for a quiet & undisturbed date. Our food was a little too pricy but well worth it. The atmosphere alone is sheak & modern, with some beautiful black & white photographs of celebs. And this really cool chain curtain that provides privacy but works as morden art as well. Even if you're a picky eater, you can definately find something delicious on their menu and I would recommend this place to anyone- vegan or not.

Fantastic Vegan Place to dine!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/5/09
Swank metro feel. The place makes you think you're dining in Manhattan with its white, white walls, industrial metal tables, and modern lighting and wait-staff dressed in black. The fact that the place is owned by the Pretender's Chrissie Hynde's is played down nicely with just some photos of the band on the wall. The music to dine to was pretty fun, generic stuff instead of a steady stream of Pretenders. Loved the design and feel of the place. AND THE FOOD WAS PHEN-OM-EN-AL!! My vegiterian friend said she'd never had so many amazing choices. The "chicken" and "sausage" are highly recommended for a reason. We enjoyed some root vegetable chips for an appetizer. The portobello stuffed mushrooms were super-tasty. The chicken pizza was a favorite. Tomato pesto soup got raves, too. We even loved the cheeseless cheesecake. YUM! Our waiter was fun and made all kinds of super recommendations. The place may be a little on the pricey side for the Akron area, but we found it totally worth it! You may even see Chrissie Hyndes float in once in awhile or catch some live music, I hear.

I'm not a vegan, but I love the funky atmosphere & the food was flavorful. My party of 4 enjoyed every bite. It's my new place to hang on the weekends.

You won't believe that you are eating vegan food, it is simply that good. I personally don't care for the Gardein protein that they offer, but the rest of the menu is amazingly well executed. Especially amazing are the nut "creams" used to give several of the pastas a cream-like texture without any dairy. From the appetizers to the desserts, it was simply delicious, especially the pizza my dining companions and I split for an appetizer. Service was prompt, professional, and excellent. The entree prices seem a little high to me for vegan food, but given the current state of the economy and the level at which they execute the food they do serve, I think it may be justifiable. The only down side (and I noticed this a year ago when I first ate here) is that the decor is a double edged sword. While the industrial design decor is a pleasure for the eye, all of the hard surfaces mean that once the restaurant fills up, it can be very hard to hear your dining companions. I had hoped they would've addressed this from a year ago, but it is still a problem unfortunately. Other than that, I heartily recommend Vegiterranean to everyone, vegans and non-vegans alike.

This place has the worst bartenders I have ever seen. They don't pay attention to you and they don't move very quickly. We practically had to beg for another drink. They broke glass in the ice bin and just scooped some of the ice out and dumped more ice on top of it. (You are supposed to melt the ice w hot water so you can pick up the glass out of the well) Not only would the hot water have been safer, but it would have taken a lot less time. It took 4 people more than 15 minutes to clean out the ice. This meant that they were going to ignore us even more. So we left at this point. Upon leaving, I looked back at our place at the bar and realized our plates were never cleared our entire time sitting there. The entire experience went from good to really bad because of the poor service of the bartenders. Some of the food was good, some was bland and uninteresting. If you go, avoid the pizza's, and do not sit at the bar.

Let me begin by saying, I'm not a vegan, nor a vegetarian in training, but, I stopped with a couple friends and was amazed with the flavors and the selection of food. The burger was seasoned perfectly and the Chrissy fries...well I'm pretty sure I would have slapped anyone trying to take them from me. I took a cup of coffee and a muffin back to the office with me and that was a mistake, I should have bought a half dozen muffins and the coffee was rich, earthy and bold...everything I like in a dark roast. The decor is beautiful, you can pluck it out of Akron and it would be perfectly at home in New York, San Francisco, Chicago or Seattle, it's trendy yet comfortable....not always two words that work well together. I liked it. I'll go back. Thank you Ms. Hynde.

Yum! Great Atmosphere, tasty food, moderately priced, service was decent (not exemplary). I am not a veggie, and have often found vegetarian food bland; but this was not a problem here. Well done Chrissie et al.

What a find! As a veggi, so nice to not have to "pick" through the menu. My only critism, the salads were a bit "overdressed". Let the flavors of the ingredients shine without all the EVOO. Next time I will get dressing on the side. Seemed like a nice selection, we were there for lunch. Service was great. Try the Jasmine Dragon Pearl Tea, OMG! I just went to the company site to order more! Love the decor, very hip!
