Even the owner was rude. Tried to call ahead for seating, I was told, Um I don t know if we can do that. We got there at 5pm, because they are closed from 2pm to 5pm (siesta time?). There was no hostess, 3 staff members passed by and looked at us and rolled their eyes and said, We ll be with you in a minute. Apparently a minute is different in Levelland time. We ask to be seated and the staff says, we don t have any tables available. There were two in the back that could have been shoved together. I offered to shove them together myself. It would have been nice if they had even stopped for ten seconds to ask how many people were in the party and what the name was so we could sit down in the waiting area. The hostess told me at that time, the other people in front of you called ahead. All in all the staff was rude and had a condescending tone when asked to do actual work (thier jobs). The owner was a dried up prune of a woman, who actually had the audacity to throw her hands up in the air and say, I don t have time for this sh**, when my wife was cordially explaining how atrocious her staff was. The first time we ate there in 2011, the food was mediocre at best and the servers couldn t seem to get the order correct. The attitude of the servers was snooty, I had to get my own silverware and napkins. I liked it under the old management when it was on College Ave. Stay at home and eat hot pockets.
GREAT restaurant; beautiful building; awesome restroom - best I've seen even in fancy east Texas restaurants. Food is very good and prices are good, as well. Only suggestion I have is that they really need RESTAURANT signs on both sides of bldg that face the hwy. I'd never have guessd it was a restaurant if someone hadn't told me.
