My mother and I took a day trip to this part of Maine back in April. We were hungry and decided to take a chance and see if anything was open in OOB since every place we tried in nearby Scarborough was packed. To our surprise, this restaurant/pub was open and pretty busy for early April. The food took a bit long, but it was worth it. The portions were generous, the prices were right, and the server was attentive and friendly. The atmosphere was pub-like and cheering fans sitting up at the bar didn't bother us at all! I would definitely go back. They have breakfast specials too so I'm going to check them out in the morning the next time I'm there. Overall, a really unexpected and pleasant surprise!
Not a place to go for a quick bite. Server was friendly and efficient, but the food took a really long time to arrive. The Caesar salad came with a plastic package of Italian dressing! Half-pound hamburger was good, cooked correctly. Appetizers ordered as meals were tasty but overpriced. Not a lot of TV's considering this is a sports bar, a strange wide open floor plan with under-utilized space, and a small mezzanine area with extra tables. Don't go unless you're desparate.
I don't know where the prior review was sitting but I think that 9 T.V.'s is plenty and all sports channels were covered. As far as price goes, they are the best priced sit down place in town considering the size of the plates you get. Huge portions. This is a sports atmosphere, not a gourmet restaurant. Kid friendly with kids menu. Their steak tips are the best I've EVER had and no one can touch their lobster roll. Not even the local seafood restaurants. I would recommend the mezzenine for private parties. There are 2 T.V.'s up there as well and it sits 25 with private bathrooms. You can get a bad meal at a 5 star restaurant. That doesn't mean I wouldn't try them again. So you don't have to be desparate to try this place. Great food at a great price.
We stoped there for breakfast. Our Waitress was outstanding. The food was served quick, it was good and there was a alot of it. They had something for everyone. It was a bit pricey but due to the incredible service I would not hesitate to go back.
ok spot...been several times, the last time I went for lunch they had recycled the already fried ff s from the night before. That tells me that they don t give a sh%z what they put out. Frozen fries do not cost a lot....lost a customer because of it.
