We love Home Run Inn pizza. However, don't know what's going on with pizza makers these days. The sauce is all but non-existent - even when you ask for extra! Pizza is turning into 'cheesy bread'. Why the chintzy sauce use these days is beyond me. Michael's pizza is the only exception I've found. :)

Home Run Inn is always a hit! Great pizza & bruschetta. I wish the carryout counter people were a little nicer & or more willing to help their customers. I asked for ketchup @ carryout and they said they had none. I will go because the pizza is so good.

I've been eating this pizza since I was a little boy at the original location,that was in the 70's. I have tried a number of locations since and have to say they just dont have it here.The crust is way off,and the sauce dont seem right.I believe its the people in the kitchen but someone isn't paying attention to quality control.With a rep to keep this place is turning alot of fans away and I know this cause everyone I know will either go somewhere else or to Darien. Hope they straighten up.

Tonight we decided to go to Home Run Inn in Bolingbrook. Since we were bringing one of our young sons with we decided to call ahead to have the pizza waiting for us. We were told the pizza would be put in the minute we sat down but not before due to issues with past customers not showing up, etc. Made sense so we continued on and figured it would save at least 10-15 mins anyway...wrong. It took as long or longer. Our server pretty much confirmed that the story was all nonsense about putting the pizza in right away. Then the really disappointing part of the night-the pizza. I am a HUGE fan of HRI and order it and ship it for friends all over the country. But there is something not right about the recepie at this location. Nothing other than the look of the pizza was what a HRI pizza should be. The crust, the cheese, nothing. Hopefully it was just a bad night but I will not make the drive again. Instead I will revisit the 31st location and hope to eat the traditional pizza we love. After that I will probably give up and stick with Giordanos or even Beggars which is becoming a favorite.

I waited and watched it being built. I could not wait to go there as Blingbrook is seriously lacking in eat-in pizzarias. I'll admit, the first time I went there I was not impressed, but it must have been situation as every time i've been there since has been great. Their diced tomatoes are always so fresh and tasty. I want to try the pasta but can't not get the pizza. it's so stomach-stuffing good.

Have been going here about once a week with my wife for the last 2 months. They have the best Miller Genuine Draft on the planet. (Frozen glass and a layer of ice on the actual tap neck) "COLD" They have the nicest people that work there. (always willing to help and just plain nice) Everybody is always moving not hanging out. The food is fresh (Salads are Insane) Place is spotless clean Good atmosphere.............. Just a Great experience every time. Two thumbs up ! Jock
