I have been to lots of sushi places and Sushi revolution is the best. Great tasting food, wonderful staff and quiet atmosphere. Simple price system is great for people with not a lot of money. Neither my husband or I had any problems with the food.
All show; no go. It's a Kaiten sushi restaurant located in a strip near Tacoma Mall. I have to say that when we first stepped in, it looks very trendy. I thought the low lighting was nice and everything looked good.
As we watched the sushi go around the conveyor belt, there were some pieces going by that were very pleasing to the eye. My daughter actually took pictures of them because they were that pretty. Unfortunately, while they were visually impressive, they had no taste. The fish had no flavor and the rice had no flavor. You had to use the soy sauce and wasabi because otherwise it would be like eating paper.
We got out of there cheap because there really seemed no purpose to eat if you're not enjoying it.
Anyone whoever went to Sushi Revolution and thought it was good and gave 5 stars, haven't been to Sushi Land!! The food was bad, the service was bad, and after ordering ONE fried calamari, it took till the end of the meal for it to come to us. They overcharged and didn't have much variety for one dollar plates. Go to Sushi Land. They just opened one in Puyallup but we've been to the Redmond one a couple times and the experience was unforgettable! Same type of conveyor belt sushi bar with color plates. Or even go and try Sushi Maru.
After watching Throw Down with Bobby Flay: Sushi for our food around the world class, My son and I decided to go to the Sushi Revolution. We had a blast. The food was delicious, the rotating plates around the kitchen area was fun, the staff was nice, It was clean and affordable. Dish prices vary by the color of the dish you pick up, from $1 to $3. They even have little dessert dishes. I was full and HAPPY after going here. I am going back with my hubby in tow.
My husband and I went there and the food was wonderful. There were so many choices to choose, anywhere from raw salmon, cooked eel, tuna fish(like out of the can not raw), yes, and raw tuna, to california rolls . The red bean icecream was a bit weird tasting though. The place is pretty big inside and very clean and the wait staff were very friendly. The prices of the food are marked by the color of the plate you take off the conveyor belt, anywhere from $1.00 to $3.50 if I remember right. I would give this place a try if you enjoy true sushi!!
