Victoria Peak
Description
Victoria Peak, also known as "The Peak", provides panoramic views of the city, which have to be among the most spectacular in the world, especially at night. A walk around the Peak reveals further scenic vistas over the greener western parts of Hong Kong Island, and the viewing platforms on top of the Peak Tower and Peak Galleria are a must for anyone with a camera. A steep tram ride takes visitors to the top, where the spectacular vistas are equally gorgeous during the day or night.
The view is spectacular! One of our favorite parts from the trip! It was easy to get to. Recommended by the Ritz-Carlton concierge, we took a cab up and the trolley down. The cab ride up offers an interesting view at a residential area, and the trolley down is a fun ride with a great view.
Make sure you check the weather before going up to the Peak. A foggy day won't let you see any thing at all, however the tram on the way up is a fun experience.
Such beautiful scenery! I would recommend going at night, because you'd get to see a view of Hong Kong that is totally different. If I ever go back to Hong Kong again, I will definitely be going back to Victoria Peak.
Go late in the afternoon to see the day time view of the harbor. Then have dinner at one of several restaurants (try to get a window seat...you might have to make reservations) and watch the city lights come on for another spectacular harbor view.
