Victoria Peak, Hong Kong

If you are planning to visit Hong Kong, you have to visit Victoria Peak. The tram ride is just one of a kind. The view is just too spectular to describe in words. While you are on top of the peak, you can see the whole Hong Kong with your eyes. I also particularly enjoy the wax museum over there. Just so much fun to pretend you have met all these powerful and famous people in the world.

Except the popular view angle from the Peak, there is a small path walking to see the south of kowloon. Not many people, including hongkongese themselves, knows/visits it. It takes me about 30mins from tram station. That view is not "light" as the central-tsim sha tsui view. However, It is silent, confortable, and for more importantly, it gives a 270 angle view! It is really amazing! So, dont miss it while you come to the peak!

Unfortunately we picked a day where the fog rolled in and you could not see anything from the top:( The railcart ride was neat seeing the buildings and the vegetation growing all around as we scale to hilltop. Found the shops inside interesting and they were even putting on a magic show in the mail lobby to entertain us. Their are alot of escalators to climb before you can make it to the top, so be aware.

It's a Must, Must, Must place to go. It's not Hong Kong if you do not visit The Peak. The funicular train is exciting. There also places to shop but a bit expensive. The only problem is searching for public toilet. The view is excellent, the place is windy and cool. A trendy place to visit.

Our trip to the peak was interesting to say the least. The place was swarming with tourists and the veiw was incredible. Certain areas where under construction so we didn't get a chance to go completely to the top of the structure area but still great "must visit place" in HK.

If you haven't been to Victoria Peak (also known simply as the 'Peak'), then you haven't been to Hong Kong! All visitors to Hong Kong should go to the Peak for panoramic views of the city, which have to be amongst the most spectacular in the world, especially at night. A walk around the Peak reveals further scenic vistas over the greener western parts of Hong Kong Island, and the viewing platforms on top of the Peak Tower and Peak Galleria are a must for anyone with a camera. A tram will get you to the top. The prices HK5 to HK400 depending on the kind of ticket purchased. You can check the website for specific details.

The tram have to go thru at very steep incline and it was a short one luckily for us. It was like travelling back to time seeing the tram and the tracks. It is a sight to see Hong Kong in the night will all the lights glittering across the sky. The weather was cold and had a deep cold breeze. But it didn't deter us from having some good shots taken on the night view of Hong Kong. Time well spend at the Peak and looking around the surroundings of Hong Kong. The queue to get back to the ground station will take forever. I reckon one should take the cab down instead.

Definitely I recommend everyone to visit this place. Its a wonderful experience having the view HK skyline from the top its a GREAT view! Its a calming experience for me like I'm on top of the world as the wind brush through my hair...its rejuvenating... you can also view the South China Sea at the other side. Its awesone a place you should see in HK!
