Victoria Peak, Hong Kong

The viewing platform of the Peak Tower was jammed with people, especially during sunset, and in summer. Smog nowadays is a serious problem, some days are clear, some days are smoggy, winter is supposed to bring a higher number of clear days. The tram is good for tourists, as the ride is quite interesting, but for a local like me, the bus is a cheaper and much more relaxing way to go. Take no. 15 from Central Pier. The other alternative is by minibus, which is more fun, but goes by faster. The view itself is spectacular both day and night, but obviously better at night!

the place is really cool!a must see in hk!from there you can see the beautiful views of hongkong..really nice place.it's a little cold there and foggy coz of the clouds.bring your camera or get photographed there and put them on the plates as souvenir hehehe...

hong kong's a very nice place, it's like you're in wonderland,.^_^ i hope i can get back soon and enjoy another fun-filled moment with my loved ones,.^_^ i truly love each place that i have seen, i have great memories of those places that i went..^_^

I've been to the peak a few time (at daytime and at night time). Last December (2007), I brought my wife and son there. There a lot of things to do there that are enjoyable. Aside from enjoying the view of HK, there was a wax museum, shopping, places to eat, a bank to change that offers a good exchange rate for your notes, EA center for game trials. So while I watched over my son playing, my wife can shop around. When my wife wife watched over my son, I can shop around. The wax museum was fun, the Tram ride was fun. Going to the shopping mall was also fun. Appreciating the view was fun as well. In fact, a friend of mine brought his family to HK for the first time. When we met for lunch, and asked him if he were free that afternoon (and considering that he was staying in HK only for 4 days), I suggested to him that, they should take the Star Ferry to HK Island, go to the Peak Tram and enjoy the peak. That way his children can experience a lot of things in a just a few hours - a HK ferry ride, an uphill tram ride, a wax and tram museum, shopping, HK view. A must for every one, especially the 1st timers. (If only the Sky terrace will allow patrons who already exited to return (provided its on the same day; because sometimes view may be foggy or that there may be some drizzle or the patron would want to see it with daylight and at night, people would enjoy it more.)

i love the feels while the tram stop for minutes, but sadly i cant see all the view as im short..(hahahah) i wish dat i can have my time alone in the tram for a longer time...dat must be so pleasuring.

We really like the place & of course we will visit the Peak again next year. We enjoy eating ice-cream while spectacle the scenery. We love the dishes serve in one of the restaurant located inside the Peak building. Unfortunately during last visit, the Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum was closed, the sky was blurred by haze. However, we will definitely going back on March 2008 & hopefully we won't meet up such misfortune again. Highly recommended.

There is no better place to admire the beautiful city! The view is marvelous! Also very nice is the tram ride to the top of the mountain. Very steep! You can also walk, of course, but that takes a lot of time.

Take the Peak tram to the top and get a glimpse of the magnificent city below. Make sure to bring a camera. Also bring your walking shoes.

Victoria Peak was simply breathtaking. The tram ride to the top could seem frightening to some especially when the tram proceeds at a 45 degree angle but the view from the top is well worth it. The views of the city will forever be etched in my mind. We had to stop ourselves from taking too many pictures! The shopping at the galleria was also good. A "must see" if you travel to Hong Kong!
