Tsing Ma Bridge
Description
Baroness Thatcher opened this major part of the Lantau Link amid much fanfare on April 27, 1997. Although there are longer road suspension bridges elsewhere, this one is the world's longest combined road and rail bridge with a main span length of 1,377 meters and total length of 2,160 meters. At 206 meters the bridge towers are taller than most of the city's skyscrapers, and there is enough suspension cabling to circle the world four times. For great views and more information, visit the Airport Core Programme Exhibition Centre or the Lantau Link Visitor Centre & Viewing Platform.
