When the Grand Hyatt Hong Kong - one of Hong Kong's finest hotels - serves Japanese fare. Two things are guaranteed: it is very good and it is very expensive. Spotlessly clean to the point of being sterile, but comfortable and welcoming, this excellent restaurant appeals to both locals and tourists alike and, with families flocking to the very affordable noodle buffet every Sa, complaints are difficult to come by.
I have to admit that I have only ever been to Kaetsu on Sunday evenings, for their buffet. It is extremely good value.
There is a reasonable selection of sashimi and sushi (including some premium items) as well as a variety of traditional Japanese dishes. In addition, customers get a hand-roll as starter as well as a main course.
It is difficult not to come away from a meal feeling very satisfied...
