With Ruth's packed out most nights, the warnings about eating too much red meat are not cutting much ice with Hong Kong carnivores. Cosy and surprisingly romantic, the restaurant has a homely feel, enhanced by the photo of dear old Ruth, everyone's favourite granny. Steak is literally the order of the day and it comes in all shapes and sizes, mainly on the big to very big scale. You might want to dispense with the very notion of a starter if you want to really get to grips with the main course and instead relish a soothing dessert.
