This is a typical Chinese restaurant in Hong Kong - a bit garish and not terribly comfortable with leg space given less priority than seating. Still, the service is excellent and for the uninitiated, this diner offers a great introduction to Hong Kong food. Northern Chinese dishes are mainly served here. The soups are very Peking, thickly glutinous and filling. This is also a popular place for trying out Peking Duck and enjoying the great sauces and varieties of contemporary Cantonese cuisine. Prices are satisfactory.
What I love most about this restaurant is that it's one of HK's hidden gems. Quick, expedient service and food as traditional as it gets, you won't find another Peking restaurant as good as this in HK!
To find it, start from Jordan Station exit C1 and head north along Nathan Road about 10m. Look for the red-carpet lined narrow staircase (there are plenty of signs pointing up the stairs to the City Econo Guest House). The restaurant is on the first floor.
This is by far and away the best, most tasty and crispy peking duck i've ever had - and the price is reasonable too.
We were there on a crowdy night, but still the waiter took the time to explain a little about the different dishes - and overall the service was great.
The seatings are a little cramped, but i guess thats to expect from a traditional chinese restaurant.
If you fancy Cantonese kitchen incl. Duck - you simply cant go wrong with this place.

soccer game hits the huge television screen, but the cosy corner seats offer some privacy for chats and canoodles. ...
