Sushi DE Kanpai Japanese, Salisbury

Absolutely, hands down, my favorite sushi place ever! Friendly service, comfotable atmosphere and delicious sushi. We have never been disappointed when we head for sushi night at Kanpai. There is something for everyone at Kanpai. Try the tuna tostada, it's amazing! Thanks Katsumi!

My husband and I eat at Kanpai once a week and have never had a bad meal!! their new menu is awesome and everyone there is fabulous. The tuna tostada is to die for!!!! all the rolls are delish and they have the freshest ingredients around. all you have to do is ask and the Chef will make it for you, they are very helpful. We just stumbled in there one night after leaving a mixer in the plaza and its our absolute favorite restaurant. Sara is the best server imo!!!

OMG Absolutely best sushi in town...AMAZING! My girlfriend and I went for the first time a couple days ago and we are still talking about it...actually going back in three more days thats how good it is...Everything from the apps (we had 3 of them and ate every last drop) to their seaweed salad to their sushi was fantastic!! The service and the people were just AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING!!!

Me and my friend went to dinner here last Friday. We just found them in the phone book and decided to give sushi De Kanpai a try. And I am so glad we did, the food is amazing, we had a chef's bento box and seafood curry. I have no complaints the food was great and the server i believe her name was Jet was awesome and very helpful. If you do dine here and you have her as your server you are in good hands.

Moving here from Las Vegas 2 years ago, my husband and I were thrilled to see a sushi restaurant open. This is some of the best sushi we have ever eaten! I have eaten sushi from California to New York and Sushi De Kanpai rates right up there with the best as far as freshness, presentation, taste, and creativity. The ONLY negative aspect that I have encountered is the service. One Friday night (our very first visit) we sat at a table for 40 minutes before anyone even brought us a menu. In fact the 2 servers in the restaurant avoided all eye contact with us. We stood up to leave and a flustered wait staff said they would be with us immediately. I'm glad we stayed to sample the food - it was wonderful. We have been back often and the service has improved.

YEAH! I have been waiting for a year for yahoo local to add this place so I can give it a RAVE review. This is by far the BEST sushi place in Salisbury. I have eaten sushi at every restarant in Salisbury (Tokyo, Shogun, Hunan, Fuji, Ikebana) and none of them compare to big city sushi out of NYC, Annapolis or Baltimore like this place. The specialty maki rolls are out of this world, delicious and creative. You simply must try the Hawaian (real crab, pineapple & alvocado inside, topped with sliced tuna & mango) my husband and I order it every time we go here. The Crunch roll (a deep fried, spring roll type filled with eel, alvocado, asparagus and more, served with a creamy pineapple dipping sauce) is also a very unique and delicious item. The West OC is also very good but I can't remember everything that is in it. Every roll that i have tried here is wonderful, I've never been disapointed. The food here is always very fresh and the atmosphere is very nice too. The only negative thing I can say about this place is that sometimes the service is lacking. They have a high turn over rate for servers and thier manager/hostess has a bit of an attitude and isn't very friendly. However, the quality and taste of the sushi well makes up for it! Don't waste your money going to any other sushi place in town. If you want the best taste and quality this is the place to go. Sit at the sushi bar and be entertained and wowed as you watch Katsumi perform his magic. He is friendly and a very talented chef. I can't say enough that this place is SURE TO PLEASE even the most cultivated of palates.
