Located in the heart of the Brandywine Valley, this modern American steakhouse is a short drive from Philadelphia, the Main Line or Wilmington. The complete redo of the 300 year old Chadds Ford Inn has created an excellent canvas with which to paint. The cuisine is strictly twenty-first century with an emphasis not only top quality cuts of beef, like the 10 oz. barrel cut ribeye, but fresh seasonal seafood, like soft-shell crabs and wild salmon. The comfortable bar beckons you in with a Best of Philly burger, ahi tuna club and a local draft beer. Creative sandwiches, great happy hour specials and great steaks ensure we have something for everyone. Modern finishes to an historic building create an inviting, hip atmosphere that welcomes all-from tourists to business travelers to local families to private events in one of our many rooms.
I dined at Brandywine Prime this evening and had a fabulous meal with great friends. Loved the casual contemporary feel in a stone farm house setting. We had an assortment of dishes. Two people had steaks that were cook to perfection, another the crab pasta and the other two had the scallops. All were very good. The desserts were scrumptious. I have to say that we were hesitant in going to Brandywine Prime because of the reviews I read but I am glad we went and we will return.
We went for Sunday Brunch and our experience was pretty bad. Service and food was terrible. They had our table wait twice while they brewed coffee, buffet ran out of plates and replenished the food slowly, mistakes on almost every order (medium hamburger arrived very rare, plain omelette arrived with cheese, Banana Walnut French toast arrived with 2 slices of banana and no walnuts) I sent my food back because it was so terrible and she left me sit with the food I didn't want until my replacement was prepared.
HORRIBLE experience!!! Extremely poor service!!! I took time from my day to drive to the location to meet with the banquet manager to discuss the facilities. The manager was disrespectful to say the least. Very disappointing experience. The back banquet room is uninspired and dull...and smells bad. I gave the manager every opportunity to help me and he continued with the attitude that there was no other room, when clearly something could have been worked out. He just was hurried and not willing to take a personal interest. I've never received such poor service.
"BEST STEAK"; Best of Philly 1998. "The taste tops almost any cut of red meat in Philadelphia." (Philadelphia Magazine). "Gargantuan"
(Philadelphia Inquirer). Cuts of prime aged beef, extra thick chops and simply prepared fresh seafood are the straightforward offerings ...
