On our first visit to the Tap House--at lunch time--we were surprised to discover how nice it was, considering it's attached to the end of our bowling alley. It has a lot of wood furniture, wood floors, it's dark and roomy, and it has many large flat-screen TV sets overhead. Unfortunately they were all showing obnoxious music videos. We were hoping for more sports shows, but we were told the music videos are what draw the crowds, so there it is. The nacho's were excellent and creative with unique spices that separated them from most other nacho's I've tried. They use real melted cheese, not the processed stuff. They have a lot of microstyle beers on tap, so you'll certainly find something you like. A good experience overall, but we were not too happy with the music videos. Stay away if you have kids or want something a little quieter.
Always a great place to go a have a couple of drinks. What can I say MUG CLUB!!!!!!!!! They also have 44 different beers on tap as well. The most in the state of WV, which is pretty good. Have never had a bad time there, sure it is busy on Saturdays, but most great bars are. Thursday is a good night to go and have a couple of drinks and have a great Ribeye for 10.95 i think. You also cant forget wing night on tuesday, sure you have to wait. But they are by far the best in the area, they blow bufflo wild wings out of the water.
Where can you go and wait an hour and twenty minutes for 10 hot wings? The Tap House. It wasn't the waitress's fault, but the dummies in management that didn't staff for 35 cent wing night. Absolutely terrible. No one in our party got to eat together because we didn't even get our meals together. Absolutely terrible. The others in our party also stated that the food was less than good too. Won't be returning there ever again.
just went there on sunday....relaxed and great beer on tap. over 28 varieties, lots of tv's for football and bartender was great. Went there for an hour to relax, watch football, and have a beer....and it was perfect. I will definitely try other nights and their specials.
Should be called the watered down suck house! Last night was my birthday and every drink was watered down, and the service sucked! Went there before and it sucked then too! The floor was disgusting too! My girl and I sat at the bar, and there was trash and food on the floor! Some left over chicken bones, ewwwww grossssss! Not to mention the false advertising on the big screen about beers being a different price too!!!!! You just lost a bunch of business cause I aint coming back! PEACE
I have been to the Tap House on several occasions, but the most recent was a Thursday night because they have $9.95 ribeyes and $2 drafts. My steak was delicious! My husband had a bacon cheddar burger, which he loved. They have a great selection of drafts--20 right now, but the bartender said within 2 weeks they will be adding 8 more. We tried several imports and microbrews--didn't care for a few of them, but it was okay since they were only $2! We love the atmosphere there, and the staff are always friendly. The only complaint I have is about the bathrooms--both only hold 1 peson at a time, but at least they are clean! I recommend the Tap House to anyone who wants to go and have a good meal and great beer in a fun and cozy setting!
