Combining Mediterranean and Modern Moroccan flavors with California style, Zitune has become a much heralded dining destination - earning the Peninsula’s top tier Zagat rating of 24 and 4 stars on Yelp for Chef Chafik Larobi (formerly of Gary Danko) distinctive cuisine with historic French, Spanish and Portuguese influences.
Located in the heart of downtown Los Altos, Zitune offers a casually chic ambiance. The bar - with exotic cocktails, old and new world wines by the glass, and a special Bar Menu - is a popular gathering spot. Plus the totally private “Marrakech” dining room is perfect for both meetings and large group celebrations. Monthly wine dinners draw adventurous foodies and South Bay patrons looking for a culinary adventure well worth seeking out.
Nothing really stands out about this place --- they need a signature dish which you simply cannot get anywhere else. They do have a cous-cous dish, but it was vegetarian --- whats the point of that.
On the ambiance front --- it should feel Moroccan rather then just a nice restaurant.
It is relatively new --- so they still have an opportunity to do some tweaking, best of luck!
