Have to say I was disappointed. We took our family of 10 to dinner here for our Holiday Dinner outing and two of the steaks were overcooked. One to the point of being inedible. They did take one off of the bill, but that doesn’t really resolve the problem. We had 1-1/2 hours to have dinner before we went to the Metropolis for a show and the service was so slow we didn’t have time for dessert.

My wife and I had a great time on a Saturday night. The room has a great atmosphere once it fills up. The crowd was a mixture of ages, which was a tribute to Arlington Heights successful appeal to young people moving into the high rises above. The bar did good business, prices were not too high, food was pleasant and well displayed. The music was entertaining and we appreciated the limited amount of breaks the pianist took. We were there to hear the music, although people watching was just as much fun with this eclectic group. Well worth a visit and we will be back.

I love this place. It begins with the service, and the wait staff is just outstanding. They never hassle you for your credit card or anything; they are able to keep it straight as I have run a tab and moved from the bar to the tables. I have been there half a dozen times now and the variety of food means I have not had to have the same thing twice, and it's all been great. Reasonably priced, as well. The piano guys are wonderful, playing whatever you can think of and they don't mind if you sing along. The music is not so loud that you cannot carry on a conversation; it's there if you want the entertainment. We'll be back.

I love this place! I had wanted to go to the Boiler Room, but it closed before I could. First the service is wonderful, Steve was attentive and knowledgable, the only thing we didn't get right away was napkins. But he was really hopping. I had a prosecco and my friend had her usual, Bicardi Limon, diet coke in a TALL glass. You'd be surprised how many places screw that up! But Steve was right on target. He made two recommendaions a steak and a pasta, the pasta could have shrimp or chicken. So something for everyone! We both had the skewered pepper steak, beautiful. The flavor was wonderful, the steak was cooked to perfection! The mashed potatoes were great, even the green beans and red peppers was awesome. It was even a pretty dish! It was July, there was a cold spell so we both opted for creamy onion soup rather than salad. I've never had it before, it was wonderful!! Then there was the piano player, I had been to the Billy Joel/Elton John concert the night before and this was the perfect post concert show. He played and sang all the songs. It was great, they have a camera on the keys so you can watch him play. The table next to us was a party of sorts and the table bedind us had a tiny baby, there's even the ball game at the bar. Nice lighting and decor! You could go for an event or a date, perfect for anything! If I had any complaints it would be that it's loud, but we went on a Friday night, so other nights maybe better. Plus a little fresh parsley on my soup would have been pretty. Then the napkins, but as you can see I'm scraping the bottom to find something wrong! For sure I will go back, there were so many other things on that menu to try, but the steak skewers were so good. Uh oh a dilemma, what to order! Plus they have both wine and martini flights!! A great dinner, drinks for two and a show for under $80, I would say that's a bargain! They even have burgers and sandwiches if you're on a tighter budget!!

We go out all the time and have NEVER experienced anything like Big Shot. The food was great. The martini's were good and fairly priced. But the piano player was amazing! He knew every song we could think of. He totally seemed to play something for everyone. He made heavy metal and rap sound good on the piano (believe it or not!) And he actually had a beautiful voice when singing real songs. We got there pretty last Saturday and we got a table pretty quick. We were pleasantly suprised! Check it out!

Excellent Lounge/Restaurant. Food is really good and the staff is friendly. We were there a little early and entrees were half price between 4 and 6. The piano man, Wayne is very good and super nice. We will be back.

BELIEVE ME, I CAN ROCK OUT WITH THE BEST OF THEM. BUT SOMETIMES IT'S NICE TO HERE SOME GOOD OL' PIANO MUSIC. BEEN COMING HERE SINCE THEY OPENED. USED TO BE THE OLD BOILER ROOM JAZZ CLUB IF THAT HELPS YOU OUT ON LOCATION. GOOD FOOD, DRINK AND SOME OF THE FRIENDLINESS BARTENDERS AND SERVERS IN THE BUSINESS, NOT TO MENTION THE PEOPLE YOU MEET THERE. THE LIGHTING IS KIND OF DARK, PERFECT FOR MAKING ME LOOK GOOD.....I THINK. SO DO'NT LET THE LONG JOURNEY DOWN THE STAIRS KEEP YOU FROM COMING IN. TAKE ONE STEP AT A TIME AND YOU'LL BE GLAD YOU DID.
