Waste of time

All I can say is it would be nice if this store lightened up a bit. I'm sure not everyone that browses in this store is serious about or knowledgeable of voodoo and I am sure with all the tourist, most people are just curious and should be allowed that opportunity. Asked the girl for a book which might be something like a "voodoo for dummies type" book, i.e. just for some general type information on voodoo and she acted very offended, referred me to a more "tourist type" voodoo shop down the street, said they sold things that had to deal with the not "real type" of voodoo, and generally made me feel like I had no right to buy anything in their store because I wasn't into "real voodoo." Anyway, I did take my business elsewhere. I'm sure they won't feel that affect of that, but not a friendly or helpful store at all. Maybe they are if you know what you are talking about. Then, my daughter briefly sat on their front step while we adjusted some bags and they rushed right out to tell us we had to keep the steps clear. Sucky staff in my opinion.
