Awful!!!! .Food is VERY bland bland bland- no taste at all. Isn t Cajun supposed to be spicey or at least have SOME sort of taste? At least it did when I visited New Orleans!!!This is not Cajun cooking! Also the presentation is a joke.In my Jambalaya 3 microscopic pieces of chicken and two microscopic pieces of sausage- almost totally rice and very dry.The red beans and rice were as if you opened a can of red beans and poured it over plain white rice - no seasoning whatsoever. We also tried the Hush Puppies- which are supposed to be State Fair famous- Awful too...taste and looked as if they were fried in OLD oil - and left a horrible aftertaste of old oil in the mouth. Please pass on this restaurant!
This restaurant has flavor in its dishes. I love to come here and get an Abita beer, sit outside, drink the beer and eat the hush puppies with the tasty sauce while people watching on main st in Carmel. The sandwiches are uniquely flavorful. I wish they had more outdoor seating. Folks have always been friendly to me there. You got to at least try the hush puppies and the Abita beer or the purple one.
Edit: Thank-you for adding additional outdoor seating!
Finally tried this place and I was very pleased.
If you're not familiar with Cajun food (as I'm not), Mudbugs gives you a sample tray of all their main dishes for you to try before ordering. The pulled pork was very good...really liked the gumbo, shrimp etouffee and dirty rice!
