I love this restaurant! I have been here many times and have never been disappointed. The veggie tostada is the best I've ever had. The staff is pleasant and usually quick to refill drinks and chips. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and they have a huge patio as well. It's a little pricey, so we don't eat here as often as I would like. Whenever I have guests from out of town, I bring them to Don Cuco.
I don't know about the previous reviewer, but I like Don Cuco's Moorpark and go there often. Mexican restaurants are my favorite of all, and I'm glad Moorpark finally has a nice one. The food is typical for this type of restaurant, but probably not as good as El Torito. They make their own tortillas fresh on the premises, and it is fun to watch. The margaritas are pricey, but yummy. My favorite dish here is the fajitas. Mother's Day Brunch was very nice with champaigne and mariachis.
This restaurant SUCKS and is in NO way related to the Don Cucos in Simi Valley. We only went there because we thought it would be the same menu, but not even similar. I felt like I was sitting in a cafeteria. No music, just loud talking. There is no ambiance, the food was bland and the drinks were weak. I would have rather gone to Taco Bell and saved the money. If you want awesome mexican food with great service and killer margaritas, go to the Don Cucos in Simi on Tapo Canyon. We always leave happy.
