There isn't much to say. We love their pizza and wanted to give them the business, so we made a big order placed 6 hours in advance. They were 45 minutes late in completing the order. That isn't bad. What is bad is that they didn't seem to care about it and didn't even apologize for making me wait there the extra 45 minutes. They have good food, but they DO NOT have good service.
Almost five stars ! The pizza is awesome , the prices (especially on Tues , Wed and Thurs. 2 for 1 ) are just right and delivery speed is unparalleled in town. The only downside is that they are a little heavy on the cheese at times ( I love cheese) which creates a lot of grease so if you are prone to gallbladder issues stick to something like the ranch romano or similar to avoid the magnificent traditional NY style pizza grease. Otherwise dig in . My kids and I are usually fine with an x-tra/large or two mediums on two for one days.
I have ordered pizza a few times from here and never had a problem. Pizza is great and prices are even better. I ordered over the phone and picked up in person. Some others here have had problems with delivery. I cannot say anything about that because I have not used that service.
We are a very large local company in the city of Whitewater. We needed 6 XL pizzas delivered by 5pm, so we started trying to call at 3pm to give them some time to have the order ready. We tried calling from 3:00pm until 4:15pm, and no answer. We called the Delavan Genoa, and explained the problem, and they were able to get ahold of someone. That someone was to call us here at the plant, but did not bother. We called the Delavan store back, and from then on...could not reach their own people in Whitewater. Genoa Pizza will never get any more of our business. All of the negative reviews are certainly true. We ordered from Pizza Hut instead, and it was a smooth process. Too bad...the Delavan Genoa is not run like this. What they need to do is terminate every employee they have working at the Whitewater Genoa, and start from scratch. Maybe do a little reference checking to make sure you are hiring semi-qualified people to run your business, because the people that atre supposed to be running it now clearly cannot.
Pizza is great but there is something wierd going on with their 2 for 1 special. Say you order a $10 pizza (medium original sin) with the 2 for 1. Your total will be $12.43. Thats 24.3% tax. With tax rates around 6% they are charging you 4 times the tax. Not sure how they get away with it...I have tried to make my point to them but they dont understand, at all. Sure it's still a good deal but it is false advertising.
I ordered from there my first semester late at night. They forgot about it and closed. The next day I called and tried to order again. When I mentioned my previous order they told me it was my fault for not calling them earlier when my pizza didn't arrive, which I did and got nothing. After that I hung up on them and have never tried their pizza to this day.
I had a horrible time with Genoa Pizza. I ordered a pizza and a 2liter of soda during finals week. They told me it would be delivered in 45 minutes to an hour...after an hour and a half I called them and they said it was on its way. Finally it was delivered, without the soda. I called them when I realized they didn't bring the soda and I was told they would bring it out in a few minutes--an hour later it wasn't there. They then said they would bring it when I ordered pizza next (I had paid for it). I told them no, that I wanted it then (I had no intention of ever ordering from them again) so they brought it an hour after that.
And the pizza was nothing compared to Rosas.
So, order from Rosas, its cheaper and tastes amazing. They also don't forget things and treat you like an imbecile when they make a mistake.
Genoa has the best pizza I have ever tasted. I have been ordering from Genoa for almost 4 years now and I have never been dissapointed! They also have fabulous specials like 2 for 1 Tues-Thurs!! Service could be better but whose couldn't really!! If you want a great pizza that is not commerialized like Pizza Hut then ordered Genoa you won't be dissapointed!
