Can't really rate the restaurant; we had planned to meet family members there for a day-after Christmas luncheon. However, when we attempted to telephone the restaurant ahead of arrival, no one answered the telephone. We called more than 15 times from 9:00 a.m. - 11:15 a.m. -- no answer. So we ended up going to Japalenos instead. We will definitely have to try Jose's the next time; however, we were very satisfied with where we went.
I love Cuban food. My parents lived near Ybor City in Tampa for many years and Cuban food influenced my mother's cooking.
The ad I saw for No Way said Cuban and Caribbean food. That was good enough to get me in the door.
OK, we need to make some compromises here. I guess it is hard to get real Cuban bread to Montgomery. I guess it is also hard to some other vital ingredients here.
That doesn't mean that their food isn't good. It is and it is worth a try. It simply doesn't hit that high mark set at Ybor City.
Sure, I will go back and enjoy eating there again. But while I am there, I will be wishing I was in Tampa and the Ybor City district.
