First off, the pizza a Frankies is nothing special. its frequently greasy and soggy
But this thing that amazes me is the stunningly bad service I have recieived at this establishment on numerous occasions. What is Frankies secret to this rotten customer service you may ask? Its letting the place be run by kids in their teens and early 20s with zero supervision and no customer service training. Bad services comes from the top down.
Here s a prime example. I go in tonite saying yet again I may give them another shot. The lights are on, OPEN sign ablaze, and at least 8 inside customers eating. Its 9:25pm and I did not notice that they closed at 9:30pm. I go to counter and this young girl comes up with her pad. Im looking at menu when she states: I hope you dont want pizza cuz I dont think he (I assume the chef) wont make anymore I say: What can I get The dubious response: I dunno
So as Im looking at the lighted menu above the counter, the Mexican chef walks out from behind the counter and switches the sign off rendering it unreadable! I tell the girl that I assumes this means I can get nothing. I suggested she inform her manager of this rude action.
My suggestion, dont go to Frankies. The food is mediocre at best and the service is awful and has not changed since it opened. That New York attitude air gets lame over time.
This place reminds me of New Jersey Pizza, very good pizza but just like alot of spots in NJ never order anything but a simple pizza! I found what was a very small bone or square rock in my sub. My friend said he found a piece of wood like a tooth pic on the outside of his sub. Their meat quailty is cheap and you can taste it. So if you go there please stick with pizza and dont do as I did.
Best pizza in town but do t ever call in for delivery. They ll tell you 45 minutes and it will take 2 hours. We ve tried delivery 3 times now and the 1st took just over an hour (not too bad) and the last 2 have taken 2 hours. Never again...
No questions - the best pizza in town but the service is terrible. Call in an order and they tell you it's 45 minutes and when you show up, they haven't even started it yet. Not cool when you only have an hour for lunch.
Great Pizza....especially when cold!!! Huge slices and great flavor....just how I like it...havent tried the on in Hickory off hwy 127 but i got to the one in Granite Falls...super good!! Better than anything you get from a Pizza Hut or Domino's !
Frankies in Granite Falls was friendly and the pizza was awesome. Frankies in Hickory was very unfriendly and the crust was doughy, twice. It's worth the drive, or to order from, the one in Granite Falls, hands down.
