Food has always been good BUT… service is not great in fact it’s bad, don’t even thing about going on the weekend, I’ve been to this BJ’s in Palmdale about a 20 times or more and the service just keeps getting worse, when they first opened it had great service for the first year but slowly been going downhill. The main complaints are they forget what you ordered, some of their entrees included soup or salad and the last 2 times they forgot them and I had to remind them. I always have to remind them of one thing or another. One last thing don’t even think about ordering online with them!!!! If you do you better make sure you go through the bag because I can almost guarantee you that they will forget something, last time I ordered online and they forgot a complete dinner, 2 soups and the desserts and yes I was charged for them. I’ve ordered online at least 10 times and not one time did they get everything right, when it first happen right after they offered online ordering they drove to my house with the missing items and even gave as a free large PIZOOKIE with ice cream for their mistake, but now when they make a mistake not even the managers there could care less.
There are so many good places to eat in Palmdale and it will be a very long time before I go back to the Palmdale BJ’s.
One more thing, this is the only BJ’s I have had problems with, the one in Burbank and Valencia have much better service.
I came all the way from Long Beach just to see the Lakers play- and WIN the Championship- (somewhere other than the Los Angeles area).
I arrived 45 minutes before tip-off and was seated within 10 minutes.
The clam chowder was Excellent and the salsa for my chips and salsa was mild but very flavorfully different- not just tomato/onion/pepper. The Irish Root Beer was good but a little watery. I had a couple of Guinness'- alas, they don't carry Newcastle.
I was done by half-time and paid my bill promptly but the staff never rushed me out. I stayed for the rest of the game. The staff did not dawdle watching the game and I did not have to wait long for anything.
The minus would be that the TVs are too high up- neck strain sitting on hard, wooden chairs leaning against a brickwall ledge overhang for 3 hours was a bit much.
A glorified pizza parlor with beer.
Not too spectacular of a menu, but there is a lot to choose from. The only problem is you can get the same food anywhere else for a third of the price.
Good food, service was o.k, but too expensive for what it is.
