For starters me and my family arrived and were told it was goin to be a ten minute wait which turned into 40 at this point we knew it was busy but we seen empty tables. We were finally seated and given chips and so on he takes our order and away he goes as we wait we have time to eat three bowls of chips at this point we wonder and ask where our food is ,he says the fish tacos were the reason . As we look around five tables that were seated after us had received and finished their food and were paying at this point I demand the manager and tell him what is goin on and he had the nerve to ask which five tables , so to me this manager does not care that we waited for
more than an hour and a half and still had not eatin TOTAL DISREGARD for the customer ! The waiter obviously forgot our order and then lied about it. The food was served to us shortly after and was bland tasteless sloppy cold and far from authentic I've had better frozen dinners! I wouldnt let these people ever have another dime of mine and if your smart you won't eather cause they didn't comp a thing and didn't care the bottom line is it was the worst dining experience I've ever had and I have worked fine dining so know when food and service are there . I'm just plain mad never been treated like this at a place that wants me too spend my money there! Boooooo need to be out of business and will be soon I beleave.
The food was bland and flavorless. I've never been to a mexican restaurant that served beans, not refried beans, just beans and very bland ones at that. The restaurant itself is ridiculously noisy. The open design makes it sound like a cafeteria where all you hear is the constant noise of every other table in the place. The only good thing i can say, is their salsa was very good. Other than that, I don't ever plan on eating there again. They claim to have the best mexican food in Lincoln... not even close. Save yourself the trouble and go to D'Leons if you want authentic mexican cuisine!!!
La Paloma Mexican Restaurant has always been a favorite of mine!
Even when they were located in the Haymarket, to them moving way out east of Lincoln to their new location at 84th & Holdrege, they have never skimped on the high quality of their menu or their great selection of Mexican cuisine! The owners and staff are very friendly and you always feel like you are part of the family when eating here!
Looking for a place to eat some great Mexican food?
Head on out to La Paloma tonight, or call them and ask about delivery!
Wait staff was very attentive and knew the menu well. Food was awesome and at a great value. Will make this one of my regular stops from now on.
Not sure what Ryan's issue was, but it sounds more like he had a personal issue with people in general. To describe the manager as overweight or Hispanic showed what his real problem is.
We ate there lastnight and we were very disappointed!!! The service was bad and the manager(an overweight Hispanic man) was unprofessional. We received are appetizer and meal at the same time. We ordered a quesadilla which the insides(chicken and cheese) were on top of two torillas. Our meal shrimp fajitas and burrito were served on plastic plates. No SIZZLING fajitas there!! Attempted to explain our complaints and concerns. I did not feel as though he cared about what we were saying. They did give us our appetizer free but that was all we pretty much had eaten. I picked just the shrimp off my plate. My boyfriend is a diabetic and ordered Diet Coke and his second glass they gave him regular Coke and I had ice tea with no ice and often an empty glass. First time in a long time I never left a tip. Will not return. Disappointed in taste, price, and service!!!
