Starlight Wine Bar and Restaurant
Formerly a railway car, the now transformed interiors of Starlight has a 1940s air to it, not forgetting the yesteryear music that plays in the background. 30-plus wines are offered by the glass, including Dry Creek Zinfandel and Pinotage. The menu offers sizable portions of risotto, barbecued shrimp, beef and seaweed combo and desserts of creamsicle cheesecake and home-made apple pie. Cocktails and non-alcoholic beverages are also on the menu. Though the place opens at noon, it is in the evening that it truly comes alive.
We are faithful customers of Starlight....we eat there almost every weekend...we go there because (1) The food is fantastic, and we never tire of the chicken pot pie, the pizzas, the Sonoma apple salad, the beet, arugula and goat cheese salad, chef Thaddeus Palmese's specials, etc., etc., (2) Ted & Heather are the most charming hosts ever, and they make everyone feel welcome and special and (3) It is the coolest dining atmosphere ever...in a 1949 railroad dining car. We love Starlight!
We loved this restaurant and went two different nights for dinner while in town for Winter Wineland. Do not miss this jewel if you are anywhere close. The atmosphere is wonderful and relaxing. The owners are attentive and genuinly want their customers to have a great experience.
Highly reccomend this restaurant. Good food and wonderful wines that are very reasonable.
Great place for a business meeting. Totally unique setting, classy. The chef is outstanding; the blue burger melted in my mouth. Top notch wine list.. but no one knows about his place! Go patronize the Starlight you'll be happy you did, I was.
As the owner of Starlight Wine Bar and Restaurant, I can't recommend this place enough! We have excellent food, incredible service and the ambiance can't be beat! We are located in a 1949 Pullman Lounge car. How cool is that!!
