Well, I finally tried Panchito's because everyone had been raving about it, and I love this kind of food. Chipotle Grill's Steak Burritos are my fav: fresh ingredients with superb, tasty meat. This place, sorry to say, is a distant second. The meat was flavorless and stringy, and the ingredients were mish-mashed together instead of each having their own distinct flavor: the cilantro, the beans, the onion, the salsa. It was a larger, grander version of Taco Bell. Maybe they were better when they first opened, but if that is the case, Panchito's has to do some serious quality overhaul if they want to compete with the likes of Chipotle, Boom Boom Mex Mex, or even Moe's. The Holy Grail of Mexican in this town? Without a doubt, Alto Cinco.
WORST service in the world, and the food is mediocre at best. The employees are extremely slow, so don't stop here if you want your food quickly. They also get the most basic orders wrong, and get in your face if you dare to complain about it!!! They were out of hot sauce when I went. How can you be a Mexican restaurant ALL OUT of hot sauce, unless you are completely incompetent at ordering supplies? This joint is a joke; save yourself the grief and just go to Taco Bell.
Awful. If you have been out west or anywhere where there is actually good Mexican food, you will realize that this is the worst imaginable place. My taco tasted like mold and the salsa had started to decompose. It was literally rotten. Besides the taste of decomposition, there was no other flavor. Yeah, they have big portions.....of fail. Go to Panchitos if you wanna eat your compost pile.
I moved here from Cali, and it's hands-down the most authentic mexican place in the Cuse. We call it Guido's Burritos because it's run by an Italian family, but don't let that keep you from going...super delicious!!
It doesn't matter how large a portion is if it isn't good. Someone told us we had to go there because the portions were huge and really good. The chicken burritos we ordered were flavorless, and so dry we went to get jarred salsa out of the cabinet. It was like leftover shredded chicken from the fridge with chopped tomatoes, chunks of onion and canned black beans rolled in a tortilla. If you're hungry and aren't fussy about taste, this is the place to go. But if you want real Mexican/Southwestern food, you will be disappointed.
The servings are very large. If you don't want to eat at the small place, they do deliver. We had one issue with the delivery, which was fixed right away and brought back to us, with out any issue.
Their prices are close to fast food joints. So why would you got to a fast food place, when you can go here and get twice as much food for the same price.
