All I have to say is the Calamari was the WORST I have ever had, I Chewed & Chewed & Chewed. Finally Spit it out. It Was BAD. Automatically Added an 18% Gratuity, I would of given more. But not when you tell me how much to give, then thats all I Give. This was at The Legends, Stix, Kansas

By far, the best hibachi food I have ever had!!!
I get to go to Stix a lot, and I can't get enough. The chefs do a wonderful job of remembering me and the way I like things. Moses is my favorite cook, but all of the cooks are extremely polite and do a really wonderful job. I usually go there for lunch, and I always eat hibachi. I love the fact that the chefs are entertaining and helpful, instead of the stiff, business-like atmosphere that I had to sit through at a couple other hibachi places in Kansas City. The food portions are HUGE, especially considering it is lunch time. The waiting staff has always done a great job of taking care of me. They are pretty busy, as they usually cover multiple 10 person tables at once. But even though they have a lot to do, they never let my drink run out, and they bus the dishes very quickly.
There isn't a single thing that I would change about my experiences with Stix. Everyone: the hostesses, the waiting staff, the chefs, the managers, and even the busing staff work very hard to make sure that everything is as perfect as possible.
I will continue to come to Stix as much as possible. I have taken dates, family, and friends to Stix for just about any occasion.
If I didn't say it well enough above, I highly recommend this restaurant!!!!!!!!!!
From start to finish it was an awful experience. Long wait for a table for six when they were not even busy. Once we got to the table it seem like our server had been up for four days and was exhausted. She was no help and made this awful experience even longer than it needed to be. Not only was the service bad and but the sushi wasn't impressive either. I could go to the grocery store and buy better sushi and I don't even like grocery store sushi. Last, because we had a party of 6, we had to pay 18% gratuity because that is their policy for really really bad service and food. I will never go back there and I hope you won't either. Japanese steak house... I mean really what is there not to like! Great food, the funniest chefs and the sushi is great! Hey even if you come with one other person with the drinks and the atmosphere you'll make friends... Even kid friendly!
I've been there multiple times and have had good experience most times. The last time the experience was okay, basically the waiter was not good. We all ordered waters and the Hibachi chef had to ask the waiter to deliver our waters after the table started making second requests. I ordered sushi and when it did not appear to be coming out and it was the end of the Chef's show/meal I asked that the order be canceled. I was told it was coming right out and they were running behind yet the table next to us got there sushi before there chef even came out. I had to deal with a waitor with an attitude who offered to box it up for us but in the end we did not get charged for the sushi or take it home. Good food, good show, this was bad waiter experience that put a damper on the overall experience. Oh the beer that I ordered, that was recommended by the waiter was not available.

On July 19th, my colleagues and I decided to try Stix for the first time. Unfortunately, we did not have a good experience. Their bar was not fully stocked, and did not carry several liquors, including sake that is listed on their menu. When we tried to ask for a substitution for the same price as the out of stock cold sake (a difference of $8) the management said no. Not all of our Sushi choices were delivered to our table. We had to request our Sushi order menu be shown to us, and the waitress explained the chef overlooked the other items. No amends were offered until the very end. The assistant manager, Jeremy, offered us a round of drinks on the house. I pointed out that the round of drinks would exceed the price difference of the sake substitute ($8), but he still refused to supply the substituted Sake. My lone martini was $10. We did not understand their reasoning, especially when we spent alot of money, and would have spent more if they had tried to accomodate us. I tried to contact the manager Hoang on Monday, but he was too busy to accept my call.
