We live in nearby Breckenridge (where we are familiar with good steak and treated to all kinds of gourmet food at unreasonable prices) and yet Quincy's is always a favorite when we are down in BV. No it's not Outback (as if that is the end-all-be-all of steaks!), but it's also not $25 a meal. The food is good and has incredibly generous portions for the price. The atmosphere is simple and relaxed and best of all there generally are very few stuck-up city yokels in there acting condescending to the locals. If you're in the mood to have a decent meal for a very reasonable price and you aren't going to act like you're better than everyone else... then this is the place for you. If you're going to send back your steak and pretend you're a food critic, go somewhere else for gods-sake!

Went to Quincys after a 4 day backpacking trip. That particular night was "prime rib" night, and for the price the food was very good, and very generous. Service was a little slow and forgetful, but we showed up at opening time along with a good sized crowd of others waiting to get in, so it was reasonable to expect that we got over looked for about 15 minutes. I plan to go there again after the next backpacking trip, and I would recommend this place to others. I read some of the other comments and noticed that a few others were dissapointed. I can only say that you need to try it for yourself before judging, since sometimes when others rave about a place people expect too much and are disappointed because they expect some kind of eutopia. I was directed to this place by "locals", and I did not feel disappointed since it was a good hearty meal. Those who wish to nitpick, and are fussy about every little detail, should head to an expensive restaurant that charges twice as much. (I don't think the food will be better, but people seem to equate quality with cost.) I spent about 15 bucks for a 12 oz prime rib with salad and a baked potato and drink, and feel pretty good about it.

Fraud! Here's something you may wish to pass on to others concerning Quincy's Inc Restaurant. We enjoyed our meals there. However: Because of the size of our group we were charged a gratuity fee. (no problem, happens frequently.) But when I checked my receipt to the bank statement, my charge slip was fraudulently altered with an additional tip added to the amount. Several voice mail calls to Quincy's went unanswered. Finally I reached someone - I had to call the reservation line. After several calls "management" has not been helpful. I initiated a fraud action with my card issuer this afternoon. Quincy's is exploiting of "Out-of-towners" and you are in a position to protect others from this abuse.. Thank you Asst. Quincys offers "Filet Mignon for $7.95" which is a 6 oz piece of meat that is skewered, baked potato and small side salad. The baked potato is a good size and tasted great. The service was excellent, but the my meat did not taste like filet mignon. It was overcooked, then when they brought a replacement 15 minutes later, it was still not tender. There was no way it was filet mignon like a typical steakhouse that would sell. The manager said that the meat is sold to them already packaged and that he doesn't know how it is processed to ensure quality, but would "look into it." The locals raved about this place and I was severely disappointed. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. I should have listened to my gut. The locals have probably never been to Outback Steakhouse or Chuck's Steakhouse, so they don't know the difference between some meat and real filet mignon. If you want a good baked potato, then you can come here.
