Great family dining and a great atmosphere. This is southern eating at its fried finest. Always something new on the menu that has been friend to perfection or stick with the classic Po' boy shrimp sandwich.
My family and I were weekly customers from the time they opened. We recomended and brought many friends to this restaurant until we started noticing the owner (s) and staff licking their fingers to open take out bags. How DISGUSTING !!! They do it every bag thats opened. No one washes their hands after doing so either. It's bad enough that they leave spit and germs on the bags, then they go and handle everything else with out washing their hands. YUCK!!!! If they do that in front of customers, then what disgusting habits etc. are going on in the kitchen ? After complaining to one of the owners daughter about her licking her fingers on my take out order I thought for sure it would have been taken care of. The very next time I went- the father ( Owner) licked all his fingers to open several bags. I told them what I thought of their spit and germs and have never gone back. I also tell every body we know whats going on and have made sure they have lost several customers due to their disgusting, nasty habits. Also, they are ripping people off charging extra for celery and sauce with a wing order. They didn't do that when they first opened. When we questioned the owners about it,we were told that customers were being wasteful and they had to throw a lot of celery and sauce away. The celery and sauce are included with your order at other restaurants. I also bought quite a few gift certificates when they first opened and the owner wrote on them that they had to be used in 3 months. All other restaurants give at least 1 year. This program doesn't allow you to post your review with out giving atleast one star. We are doing so under protest as they don't deserve any.
Great food and a great grill atmosphere. The special recipes and seasonings make it a hit. The fries and wang wang shrimp were both delicious and had me wondering what the secret seasonings were.
Perfect and affordable for the family or even just for an ice cold brew.
I have read the previous reviews and ask that they try the salads they are wonderful a little pricey with 7.27 for a salad but worth it you get nice pieces of grilled or fried chicken in a spring mix not iceburg lettuce. Topped with pecans, blue cheese crumbles and onions. I think it's great and co workers agree. We order in at least every other week for a salad. I have tried the wings and on some occassions they have failed but the salad always wins.
Wish I had read the previous review before I visited the location on Richland Avenue today. I wanted something quick and got an order of spicy & sweet chicken wings with a medium soda. The chicken wings were $5 plus change and the medium soda WAS $1.87! $2 for a soda what a rip off! The wings were hot and covered with red sauce. When I bit into the chicken it did not seem to be cooked all the way, it was stringy and tasted almost raw. The chicken had no flavor and the sauce was flavorless not sweet and definitely not spicy there were no spices on this chicken not even salt and pepper. The only thing I could taste was grease and it tasted like old grease. I can honestly say these were the worst wings I've every had. Just thinking about the flavor makes me want to gag. I will definitely not eat there again.
