I love PF Changs. Having moved from the St. Paul/Minneapolis area where good Asian food abounds, PF Changs helps fill the void and curb the cravings. The Chicken Lettuce Wraps are the best I've had. The Singapore Street Noodles are fabulous. Try PF Changs. You will be glad you did.
My husband and I came to PF Chengs and ate on Fathers day. I don't have any comment about the food, mine is about the server (although the food portions have declined). The server we had (Nicole Buckner) offered my husband a drink to go at the end of our meal. After waiting 10 minutes for it, we finally left without it. Upon doing my banking a couple days later, I noticed the amount on my bank account was different from what I had put on my receipt. Although, I had left an adequate tip on the receipt, the server decided it wasn't enough, and charged my card a different amount. I contacted the resturant and was refunded the amount she overcharged; however, I didn't feel like they did enough to rectify the situation. I would never return to this PF Chengs and would recommend that anyone paying with a credit/debit card double check they were only charged for what they wanted to be charged
This is a great PF Changs!! The food is always excellent.. The lettuce wraps are wonderful they also have a really great Gluten Free Menu for people with a wheat food allergy.. The food is always wonderful, and it is always VERY clean.. Great place!!
I've heard so much fuss over this place that I decided to try it... It was horrible. I got the Buddha's delight steamed and they brought it to the table and it looked like a couple of chopped up vegetables, no sauce, and lets just say the veggies were VERY lightly steamed... As in they were quite crunchy. I'm not one to send food back so I went on and ate it. The service was pretty bad too, there weren't very many waiters in the dining room but there were about 7 employees lounging around the front of the restaurant chatting with each other. Plus the atmosphere of the restaurant wasn't very good- it was loud, a bit dark, and connected to the mall. I must say I'm not going back. The only good point was the mini red velvet cake I got at the end but that wasn't enough to redeem my bad experience.
My boyfriend and I had heard all the fuss about this place but never bothered going. We decided to check it out last week while we were on our way to the mall. It wasn't very busy because it was around 4pm in the middle of the week. We got prompt service from our server (Laura, I believe) and she recommended the lettuce wraps as a appetizer. We were pretty impressed. We'd never had them before, so they were completely new to us. Tim got the crispy chicken while I got the ginger chicken. Because their meals come with either brown or white rice, we got one of each. Also got the chicken fried rice. Ended up sharing all of it and having a good time. The atmosphere was the same as any other restaurant in town that we go to. Calm, peaceful, welcoming. I'm not going to go around town raving about the restaurant, but we did have a very nice time. In the end, we decided to save dessert for another time. The bill was $45 for the two of us which is about twice as much as we spend ordering from somewhere close to our house like Wah Mei or Shanghi Bistro, but we didn't mind. It was a nice experience, larger portions so we could share and connected to the place we were going in the first place, Fayette Mall. All in all, we enjoyed it. I think we'll be ordering take out from them sometime.
PF Chang's was an instant hit when it came to Lexington. It took my wife and I months to get in. But having finally eaten there I have no idea what all the fuss is about. The food is roughly to same quality as the countless Chinese take out places on every corner in town, but the prices are twice as high. Service the time we were their was terrible. We finally had to flag down our waiter so we could place our order. He wasn't rude about it but seemed visibly surprised that we'd decided what we wanted in less that half an hour. We started with an appetizer of lettuce wraps because our waited recommended them. They were fine, but fell far short of the unbelievable experience they we made out to be. I ordered moo shu pork and for some reason a waitress came to our table to wrap them in the pancakes for us, a task she found extremely difficult. Overall, poor service, high prices, mediocre food, and forgettable atmosphere. I won't be going back.
