Frankie Bones Restaurant and Lounge

Description

n the late 50's and early 60's there was a Carefree time in America known as Camelot, when the Rat Pack ruled and Swanky was the lifestyle. In the Big Cities and Casino towns there were American-Italian restaurants with Subway tile floors, highback leather booths and Blacked Out windows called Joints. They celebrated Big food, big Wine, hand shaken Martinis and sounds to make you Swing. Welcome to Frankie Bones. A Classic American-Italian Restaurant and Lounge. A Menu inspired by the big cities. Chicago, Vegas, St. Louis and New York. An Atmosphere harkening back to the bustling symphony of a time past, but Not Forgotten. An Experience to be shared with Family and Friends.

Zero. It was nothing special. I can deal with bad service if the food is stellar, but in this case. Everything just wasnt good at all. for the prices they are charging. We waited so long for everything, the food was cold and it was 3$ drink special night and they all tasted like triple sec and to top it all off they charged us full-price for all of our drinks. I was so disgusted after we had all been there for three hours I didnt even want to argue. Then they included gratuity. A RIP OFF for the money!!!!

great food and atmosphere but.. bad waiter experience: waiting over hour for food. Didn t tell us steak wasn t unavailable until after taking order 20 minutes past. Drinks were left empty, plates piled up after we were done eating bread, first course and dinner. Waiter was unorganized and did not know specials. Hopefully this was all due to a bad waiter or holiday weekend... if I was serving first time customers who paid over $80.00 for a mediocre meal I would give it a lot more effort! Wont be going back there anytime soon..

I love the atmosphere with all the photos and posters but that still takes a back seat to the imaginative menu. I found the food not only interesting but very, very good. The Caesar Salad was world class and the rib eye steak was superb. The lobster mac and cheese was also outsanding. Our server (Laura) was knowledgeable about the bar and menu items and we had a delightful conversation with the manager. We visit Asheville once or twice a year and will be certain to make Frankie Bones a regular stop.

Lunch their was a quiet and friendly place to talk business or future with that, someone special. The atmosphere is filled with memorabilia and soft gentle music. the food is priced to fit most pockets. Try their signature LAVA CAKE it is out of this world.

Well i totally enjoyed the very classy atmosphere and is my favorite spots for an end of workweek drink. The bartender Geoff is the best i have met this side of the U.S.. So if you want a drink that'll make your tongue slapp your brain, then just ask for Geoff. HE'S THE MAN!!!

We wanted to try something different for dinner so we headed to the new Frankie Bones in Arden. We were casually dressed and upon entering I wished that I had worn a hip swanky dress and heels; more then anything.... just to assimilate into the surroundings and do a little role playing. Swanky. Wizeguy-esque atmosphere complete with jazzy music and fun cocktails. Big leather booths and rich interior..... you can almost see Sinatra at the bar sipping on a Dirty Dean Martini. We ordered way too much food but it gave us a chance to try different things. The Prince Edward Mussels were lick-the-bottom-of the-bowl good! We sopped up every last bit with the tasty fresh bread. The tomatoes were fresh and the sauce was delectable! The crab and artichoke dip was good...nothing new here, but good nonetheless. I had the Salmon Oscar which was rich in every sense of the word....and I loved every extra calorie that smothered the salmon! I probably would not order the dish again because it was so rich, but I have no regrets! DH ordered the Tuscan Filet and thought it was outstanding... he would order it again (and has). Our six year old ordered the Rigatoni off the kids menu and the server brought him some meat-a-balls after a rather cute conversation they had about how he knew his pastas and was a meatball connoisseur of sorts! Dessert blew our child away! We ordered Smores and he was delighted that it came with all the fixings and a hibachi for our table. We enjoyed making the Smores and had a lot fun with this.... although at this point it was hard to stuff anymore food in our bellies! We have eaten here twice since our first trip and whenever our son gets the chance, he names it as the place he wants to go for dinner....every time. We love that it pleases everyone...the adult palates and the kid's! We have added salads and chicken dishes to our list of things we have had; all were delicious, meticulously prepared and worth every bite. Their NY Cheesecake is unbelievably good! I would even suggest this place for dessert and coffee.... or martinis!

I have eaten here many times and have always found it to be exceptional. It is best to request a seat in the back if you want privacy. Outstanding food and outstanding service.
