In this area of Southwestern Phoenix it is very hard to find great Chinese Food, in fact having come from Southern California it is hard to find good Chinese food here period.
Blossom Asian Cuisine is a rare find indeed. Family owned, it has been in business for a year in a Fry's Shopping Center and the food is not only surprisingly very good, they provide ample portions and it is also quite reasonable. Try their Honey Chicken, a house specialty or the luncheon specials that come with Rice, Egg, and Soup. You can choose a meat selection and have it served in many different ways, including chop suey, a rarity nowadays in Chinese restaurants that push chow mein.
With a Panda Express and a Buffet having opened just down the street in recent months, we sure hope that Blossom Asian will keep enough of a regular clientle to stay in business. While I am still partial to California Chinese (The now defunct Great Wall in West Covina was one of the best Chinese restaurants outside of Chinatown in Southern California), I must confess being delighted by Blossom Asian.
