My Big Fat Greek Restaurant, Tucson

I have been here several times. I have tried different things on the menu. ALL were wonderful!!!

I used to eat at the restaurant on Broadway, but not anymore. Normally five of us frequent this reataurant. On my last visit, Celest, a waitress, got mad at our group for being in a hurry and wound up blaming me for no reason. On my friends subsequent visits, she commented that her brother in the kitchen would put something in my food if I cam in again. When I talked to the manager about the problem, he said that he was not going to address the problem. I would not trust the restaurant at all!

Went on Friday night, 4th of July. Restaurant mostly empty. My husband ordered the Gyro Pita. The meat was dry and seemed to be pressed rather than shaved, my daughter ordered the kid's chicken fingers. She got 2 flat, strange looking pieces of chicken and overly salty fies. she wouldn't eat any of it. I ordered the Osso Buco. Although the menu clearly stated that ALL dinners were served with lemon roasted potatoes, rice and vegatables when it arrived the plate was heaped with french fries and onion rings. A real grease fest. I asked the waitress and she had to ask the manager why it happened. She came back and said the menu was misprinted. I had to ask for rice and she did bring it. When I spoke to the manager he was very arrogant and unapologetic. Imagine my surprise whe I got the bill and was charged for the side of rice. When I pay $20 for an entree I expect adult food, not fries and onion rings. I placed a call to the area manager which was returned within 24 hours. He was very apologetic and explained he had only taken over the location 2 weeks ago. We will try this restaurant one more time, but not before this manager has a chance to make some changes.

This restaurnt is the best thing I have found in Tucson in a very long time. The food is excellent and authentic. My husband lived in Greece and this restaurant took him back to Greece. Loved it will keep going back.
