Taj Indian Restaurant, Fairfield

Thw waiter was horrible, We ordered a Pepsi and she handed us a hot can of soda. The food was bland. The waiter knew nothing about Indian food. It was just a horrible experience.

The restaurant's ambiance was great with nice chandaliers. I would give the restaurant a score of 7 out of 10 for the food and service. Even if the restaurant is alright, I find it quite inconvenient that some major credit cards are generally not accepted there.

I love Indian food. It's second only to a tie between Sushi and Thai (no pun intended). I agree with the other poster that there's really good indian food in Davis, but I didn't have such a horrible experience as this person did. Maybe I just got lucky? But I found both the service, atmosphere, and quality to be fantastic. I'm glad there's a good indian place like this around now in solano. My girlfriend and I came up from Vallejo to try it... and it was just fantastic.

I would first like to say that over the past year I have really gotten into Indian food. I usually drive up to Davis to find the best Indian food around the area. Over the past couple of months I noticed a new billboard in Fairfield for Taj, so naturally I couldn't wait to try it out. My boyfriend and I had ordered garlic naan, the spicy chicken tikka masala, a spicy spinach chicken curry dish as well as some spicy garbanzo bean dish. The naan bread was soggy and the other dishes were just okay... nothing special. What came later was all bad. Both my boyfriend and I had the WORST food poisoning of our lives. We were sick for days! The weird thing was, I had only eaten a couple of bites of each dish! The best word to sum the experience up is “explosive”. No joke. I think it was either the chicken or the spinach that did us in. I have never written a review about any restaurant in my life, so please take this into consideration before you decided to eat here. It sucks that finally Fairfield gets a new restaurant which is well publicized and it bombs. Maybe it was just that one night that we happen to get a bad batch of food, but all in all, it will take me a long time to eat Indian food again.

Being an Indian, I can say thet this place is much better than the other Indian place. The food is fresh and well cooked. They do not have a lunch buffet like the other Indian place, but its well worth the money you spend. Try the Chana Saag, its delicious!

Yo, dis food rite here is hella tight. Like we went last week I ordered dat butta chicken, and dang dude, dat was hella tight fo fairfield, you heard me, yo anywayz, diz place is off da hook compared to dat other nasty one down da street, dat one in vacaville is aite, aint all dat, so unless u wanna drive yo maroon toyota down to berk, dis is all we got, aite late, btw, meow son.
