This is one Mexican eatery where Eating in is the best. My wife and I discovered this place just about a year ago this May. They had just opened around that time and we always loved Mexican food. The service is friendly and I've never had an empty glass. Without paying attention the waiter would fill my glass 4 or 5 times. The chips are some of the best, sometimes we often buy a big bag of their chips & salsa just to take home. What really shines is the food. Its fresh, all handcrafted and only once did I have something that tasted weird. They have some of the best prices on combo plates and you get a lot for the price. A 3 item combo with Rice and Beans is just about $9. Everything is made fresh. Some of the items look different than you think they would be, but thats because they cook authentic style Mexican, not some southwest or Tex Mex Taco Bell ripoff. My wife and I try to taste something different every time. I am not a big guacamole fan, but they have very mild and tasty home made guac that isn't heavy like some other eateries. Only once did I have an order screwed up, and that was Carry out. Its always best at busy Lunch rush to check your food before you get home. But they were nice and they fixed the mistake for me and even compensated me with a free bag of chips and salsa! Even better is at some local grocery stores like the Farmington Hills Kroger you can get coupons for 1/2 off an order with purchase of regular order. I know El Patio has some other locations, but the one in Farmington Hills at Grand River / Haggerty is so easy to get to for Lunch or Dinner, Eat in or carry-out.
