Barcelona Cathedral
Description
Began in the 1st Century as a chapel, the construction of the present Gothic temple was initiated in 1928. The 16th-century crucifix of the Christ of Lepanto, the crypt of Santa Eulàlia, the patron saint of Barcelona, and the neighborhood Claustro (cloister) are all appreciated by art historians. Catedral de la Santa Creu i Santa Eulàlia or Cathedral of Barcelona is truly a sight to marvel.
The Catedral must be awesome, too bad you cant see it!Its covered up so you cant really apreciate it; Its also supposed to be free, but they charged us a 4Euro "donation"...
The facade of the cathedral was under construction when I was there. But I did go inside and it was really nice. A typical European Cathedral. Very richly ornamented inside.
It is beautiful inside. My mom couldn't go in because she wasn't dressed right and she was disappointedshe didn't get to go in after she saw the picture. It really is beautiful.
I just love it becuase it is a gods creation ever had made. i just went with tour guide.it is good and i have been to it. It is just the famous landmarks in Spain.
This place is so spectacular that I have to say that it is a "must seen" in Barcelona. It is still under construction now, but it is amazing already. Make sure you take the stairs (sorry, I don't recall how many steps, but a lot for sure) inside the tower. That is a good execrise with a good view.
