Sweetie Thai Cafe, Artesia

I just got home from Sweetee Thai cafe and this will be the last time I dine here. I used to be a regular almost every week here and I really can't believe how their service has gone downhill. My fiance and I waited for 40 minutes before finally being served (even though the two other tables on either side of us got their food right away.) The iced tea tasted like water and when we sent it back the waitress gave us attitude and not once did she say sorry for the wait or the tea or anything. She walked by our table numerous times without refilling our drinks or even once looking in our direction. After having such a horrible dining experience we decided to speak to the manager so this kind of thing doesn't happen again. She made us feel that as long as the food was hot that we should be happy and that rather than having us seated at a table right away that they could have made us wait. All she gave us were excuses and an empty apology which sounded like she was trying to justify the horrible service. I gave them a great review before but I won't ever be back after tonight and I'm not going to hesitate to tell everyone about my horrible experience here. I remember a time when Sweetee Thai was empty and I gave them my support and good reviews but now that they're packed they don't care about customer service anymore or their regulars.

Someone said the food was mediocre. It was great to me. I guess it depends on your taste buds. This is a great place for Thai food.. Great Food! I had the Pad Thai Noodles and the Spicy Vegetables with Basil Leaves. The Pad Thai Noodles was a perfect blend of flavors. Their spicy vegetables have a nice kick. You can get mild, medium, or hot. I had the hot. It clears your sinuses a bit, but it is well worth it. And for dessert, you have to try their shaved ice. (Cerritos Location). It is red syrup with condensed milk (taste like bubblegum) topped with kiwi, mango, banana, and strawberries. It is delicious and huge, so share it with friends. This cafe is definitely worth stopping by and trying it out.

The food was amazing Try the Taro Cakes thingy! So full of yummy!!!! And the atmostphere was great. Very Asian-fusion-modern. :D My only problem is the parking lot..for some reason the residents of Artesia drive like they are on crack. Basically PAY ATTENTION when you drive in shopping center. But honestly the cafe is WONDERFUL!!! And the staff is very friendly. :)
